I'll take Man City or Chelsea winning the title over Liverpool any year any season easy. They are only top coz Man City have played 2 games less and their fans are already gloating that this will be their season and that Suarez is better than Messi and Cronaldo! Despicable set of fans!

This certainly doesn't apply to all of their behaviour, but in similar circumstances our fans would be exactly the same.  It's an exciting time for them, this is what football's all about, rather than hovering around 8th or 9th patting yourselves on the back for not being in relegation trouble.

Hate the fuckers but think they deserve it. They have a good philosophy and unlike Chelsea n city have not spent billions. I know they have still spent a fair bit but also giving young players a go

150m in three seasons is fucking loads.

http://www.transferleague.co.uk/premiership-transfers/liverpool-transfers.html

We've spend 51m in the same time  :naughty:

They have a net spend of 90 million over the last 5 seasons:

http://www.transferleague.co.uk/league-tables/transfer-league-table-last-five-seasons.html

Which sounds like a load until you see that over the same period Man City's figure is 480 million and Chelsea's 282 million!

They've spent less than Stoke and only 4 million more than Villa.

Over that period we've made 45 million PROFIT  :crazy2:

The more goals they score the more I'd rather they won it.  Nice to see a team going out every week blitzing the opposition, playing football the right way with a settled side.

Can't stand Chelsea and don't like Man City much more.  Shame Arsenal fell away but I'd rather Liverpool won it out of the 3 now.

This and the money argument as proven above I agree with. Unfortunately.

I agree Man City and Chelsea have spunked money like it's endless, it was more a reply to "they haven't got loads of money", they've spent a fair bit, they've recouped a decent amount but they've had decent backing.

Of course they have and have spent a lot of money. They're a Premier League club. That's what the vast majority tend to do.

Don't judge everyone by our standards.

The fact they could win the league by spending (relatively) so little is equal parts encouraging and frustrating imo. Imagine being champions having spent less than Stoke ffs.

90 million over 5 seasons is less than we would've spent if Ashley had kept to his initial pledge to put in 20 million a season of his own money....

John Henry is a class football club owner. Had every chance to cash in on Suarez but said no and held to his guns. Showed some ambition and they have a shot at winning the fucking title.

:sadnod:

They've got it ridiculously right over there. They had a decent squad under Dalglish but a terrible manager. Then they:

A: upgraded the manager

B: held onto their prized assets

C: invested sensibly

Now gonna win the league. So simply. Sigh.

They did exactly the same when they replaced Houllier with Benitez and subsequently won the European Cup amongst other things. We sacked Robson, employed Souness and have been fucking shite ever since.

They'd be better off going after stability imo.

Net spend is misleading when you get £50m for one player. Spurs have spent bucketloads.

They are one of the clubs in the PL that are being run at a loss.

If City can get a point in Liverpool I think the title will be theirs. They have 5 home games that they'll most likely win, one away game too. So two points from two trips to Liverpool will probably get them the title. I wouldn't mind City or Liverpool winning the way they play football.

Dunno if it would be worse for them to win it on the last day with victory against us at Anfield or have it sewn up by then and have our bunch expected to give them a guard of honour onto the pitch.

I think I actually want them to win it. :undecided:

Tell that to our lads who have to go to Anfield on the last game of the season and would have to witness the circle wank.

I'm down here for uni so I'd not hear the end of it. In an ideal world Arsenal wouldn't have bottled it yet again, but given the two alternatives are plastic teams buying their way to glory they're the best of a bad bunch.
