Six weeks? That's not including the NUFC injury accumulator factor. Very rare we have players back anywhere near their suggested return date

I do hope someone chins the cunt that did this. No need for that challenge whatsoever. Fucking neanderthal.

When he comes back he's going to be targetted every game, so I'd hope his body is going to be up to it.

You just know Lovenkrands and Ameobi are going to make more than 15 appearances each this year :sadnod:

Injuries are part and parcel of the game and can happen at any time whether it's training or in a match. No point whinging about it but it does call into question the depth of the squad and why we're still one or two injuries away from seeing the likes of Lovenkrands and Smith being called up to play.

We're basically hoping that we manage to keep the majority of the first choice XI fit for the majority of the season because after that there's fuck all quality whatsoever. That's down to the people who decide the transfer policy. We did some excellent business early in the window but we're nearly into August now. Enrique and Routledge look to be heading out of the club, Ben Arfa is out for a month or two, Ryan Taylor's got a knock, we lost Ferguson and Guthrie (?) at Darlington. A thin squad is about to get thinner and still the Carroll windfall is sitting there, basically untouched.

This fucking club man.  :dave:

And to top it off the players we have signed have very patchy injury histories (Cabaye aside).

I'm sure we'll ge a striker in between now and Arsenal, but perhaps Marveaux off Ba is also an option.
