Nolan appointed club captain

Lets see what happens hey. He captaining bolton well, so maybe giving him the captains armband may give him the motivation he needs to continue last seasons form.

 

Only problem is that last season's form was shit. He scored a few goals but gave the ball away very often. He just was at the right place at the right time to get some goals.

Can't really comment on how good a leader he is, only the players know that.  Would say the captain should be someone who plays every game of the season if fit though for consistency's sake, and I'd hope that wouldn't be the case with Nolan  :undecided:

Seriously what's your beef?

He is clearly an important character in the dresssing room, a senior player providing a  stable link between the management and the players, passionate about the club, and a decent bloke to boot. It's a figurehead role, Chris is not obliged to play him every game; but at the moment, until we can afford to find someone better, and whether you like it or not, he is also going to play an important role on the pitch for us this season too.
