Mole_Toonfan
He's not even good against superior teams now he's just useless and shit. Said a million times but i'd rather Anita play, i know he's weak as shit but at least he's intelligent and competent at passing, getting the ball from the back and playing it into midfield. Not to mention i'm sick and tired of seeing Pardew using Cabaye as a f*cking quarterback :anguish: Double Anguish because he used a NFL term and secondily Cabaye looks f*cking shit in the role. Oh joy, i'm ranting when the season is over isn't this just grand.
Yorkie
I'm usually okay at letting Pardew's comments slide but it drives me mad whenever he states what a player 'is'. "Cabaye's a quarter-back/Sissoko's a number 10/Tiote's an Essien". Wrong, wrong and fucking wrong. Clueless, man.
Shak
That's the thing, though. Players like Cabaye can't express themselves thoroughly because of him. Cabaye has to drop deep to be to man to collect the ball from the defence/keeeper because Tiote simply cannot be trusted to. Not sure about that, Cabaye generally looks a much better player when paired with Perch because he's given license to get forward a lot more. He still drops deep to start attacks, but the difference is that once the ball gets forward he's got license to go and support the play. Perch is arguably even more limited in possession than Tiote but we seem to manage fine with him playing the deeper role, the win against Chelsea for example had Perch and Cabaye in CM. That's what Tiote should be for us, basically a deluxe version of Perch. He, Cabaye and the team would all look so much better for it, I'm sure of it. Ronaldo
The team would look better with a footballer there. DMs who can't be trusted in possession should be outlawed.

TaylorJ_01
DM is arguably the most important position I think. A good DM that can start/break-up play is priceless. See Schweinsteiger or Yaya Toure when he was deployed there.
Shak
I just think that with the right instructions he'd be passable in possession to justify what he brings defensively. He's not incapable of passing the ball, he just hasn't got the sort of vision\composure to do it in a way that's anything other than very basic. Unbelievable
Anyone claiming Tiote wasn't fantastic in his first season is rewriting history.
sugoinufc
i would like him to stay and pardew to instruct and use him rightly. Covering the back 4 an dkeeping it simple. He doesn´t have to start every game though - especially not at home.
Skirge
I hope he stays, when played in the right way he is a very omportant player for us.
Cronky
If we get the chance to get an upgrade on Tiote (eg with Wanyama), I hope we take it. I fear we won't. Pardew seems to think there's a playmaker in there, but his passing and his control of the ball under pressure aren't good enough.
Guest chopey
At the end of the day the team below should have been good enough to finish top 10 unfortunately our manager is not as good as his team ............................Krul............................ I dont think anyone is, i thought he was quite good but as Ron said, a basic capable player would have looked better than the dross that was in there. bealios
I haven't looked at the table recently but weren't we only 4 or 5 points off top 10 anyway? Doesn't say much that if the group of players you mentioned below had played together all season we would have won two of the games that we drew but otherwise it would have been the same! There are a lot of ways to finish mid table though... we could have a brilliant season and just fade at the end.
The College Dropout
Sissoko's never a #10. Not sure he's even a good player imo. Loses the ball a terrible amount. Probably a CM or wide forward imo.

The College Dropout
His passing is very erratic. And he's physically immense but he has the knack for a great final ball sometimes. Which is why he could be usefull wide. Whenever i've seen him play he's been the second striker. Was good for 3 games and very bad for most of the rest except Benfica away. AyeDubbleYoo
He's a central midfielder, no doubt about it.

Wilson
He's so obviously a CM, I look forward to seeing him in the number 10 role next season.
Dokko
Not sold on sissoko, played his best games straight off the plane and out of position, then completely faded to a point where I was glad he was out injured. For me the opposition Sussed him quickly. He's a central mid for me, right in the middle, not infront of the defence or behind the strikers, right in there alongside Cabaye only he does the running, Cabaye does the passing and Tiote does the tackling. If we could get that working But Pardew won't.
