The Stevenage game excluded, probably the worst game he's had in the black and white. Saying that have absolute confidence that with a bit more training and match fitness he'll quickly get back to his best.

Guest Rey Mysterio

Both him and Cabaye appear to be slightly off the pace and have done ok but will only improve.

Get the feeling in a couple of games time, which could also coincide with the return of Hatem, they're both going to click and were going to shit all over someone  :snod:

I don't think it was a case of him changing his game, he just looked a yard off the pace. His usual trick of winning the ball, turning out of trouble and getting rid didn't work as well because he's not match fit and with it being a derby players are looking to close down all the time. When he had time on the ball he still made some good passes, but he did get caught quite a bit.

It's no surprise we lack fitness given our holocaust of our pre-season. It will come.

It has to be seen as a positive that despite our team being far from ready, we've picked up 4 points from two very hard fixtures. (Well, one very hard one and one piss easy one )

As the players build match fitness and the new signings start to gel, we'll only get better.

Covered a lot of ground and was usually solid enough, a few class deft touches.  As others have said though, he turned into trouble a few times and wanted too long on the ball.  He said himself he feels short of match fitness and doesn't feel sharp after the Arsenal game.  Said he thinks it would be 2 or 3 games before he is back to his usual self.
