Wilson
What Mike Williamson is to pulling shirts Steven Taylor is to slyly handballing. Aye, sly as fuck.
buzza
Really sickened me last night when I saw the replay, no need whatsoever at this level to do schoolboy crap like that... We are just so brittle when under a bit of pressure, really thought we were going to do this last night until the two calamitous errors... Oh well, we're used to this shit, come with supporting the toon.

Ste
Stupid, stupid handball, really let himself down as he was having a great game. It is sometimes just reflex to stick your arm out, but when you have played as many top flight games as he has, there is next to no excuse. Really just daft of him. Scotty66
Nearly gave a pen away first half too when he was shirt pulling in the box
Guest
I've seen people say it caught him by surprise. He's a centre-back, defending a corner, around the danger area...if a ball coming from 30 yards away has caught him out just because someone in front of him has missed it then God help him. Guest neesy111
He has a history of hand balls so it's clearly a problem with the way he approaches / acts in some situations.
Hanshithispantz
He has a history of hand balls so it's clearly a problem with the way he approaches / acts in some situations. Aye, he throws his arm towards the ball Every hand ball he's done that I can remember has been blatantly intentional. I think he's got away with it once. Ash
He's probably just a little thick tbh.
Hanshithispantz
I think he genuinely thought that he'd sussed the system or something
Ryan_Taylor
No real surprise; he was the prime candidate to leave in order to raise cash this summer. Williamson's start to life in the Premier League will have only reinforced this. Only problem is we'll get nowhere near his worth this way. Opened page one. Dat post. 20:20 hindsight and all that like.
Dave
That was when we transfer listed him, don't see owt obviously wrong there.
Pilko
At the point when he'd been transfer listed, Williamson looked really quite capable at this level. He played well once we'd just come up.

Absolutely, the Colo-Williamson was our best partnership by quite a distance in the 2010/11 season. Williamson's weaknesses have been completely exposed now mind which is a shame. madras
Yup, there was the time when most of us prefer the 'Willicini' partnership. aye, started around the time he was out for ages after having his jaw broke and many making a choice between first team goal scoring centre forward or currently out injured centre half. he got a lot worse during his time out in the way our players usually get a lot better when out injured. the defence of andy carroll being our very own small scale di canio moment. Not really. Williamson was pretty assured during that spell and showed more composure than Saylor did pre-Pardew. Of course Saylor improved a lot after Pardew came in but that shouldn't take away from the decent albeit short-lived partnership of Colo and Williamson. Iirc it was before the Saylor-Carroll fight too.
