Ronaldo
The sad thing is hes actually got nice control, he just looks so lazy. He did well for our goal, apart from that it was awful. On his chest, yes; with his feet, no.
Ikon
Hopefully he wont start against Fulham. One can always dream..
BONTEMPI
Watching Shola is like being in one of those dreams when you want to run fast to get away and just feel like you're in quicksand. The lad's on Jamaican time
Ketsbaia
Remember when we used to have a good collection of strikers? Years and years ago.....man, that would be nice.
M4
Even when we had quite a few strikers, Shola was one that needed replacing.
Ronaldo
By any chance was he actually 15 when he came over from Nigeria? He looks like he should've retired a while ago.
54
I think it say's something that SWP managed to tackle him easily a few time.
Cajun
There was one point where someone played him a hospital pass, Shola used his size and did really well to keep possession, then somehow and I still can't work out how, he created a good 5 yards space between him and the defender in one movement and came away with the ball. It was amazing, took about 7 minutes in total for that one move to come off but absolutely breath taking it was. That's wor Shola.
Guest neesy111
So we're playing him - our striker - because we need someone to mark their striker at corners and free-kicks? I'm sure that's not the only reason, we're looking to press them from the front - which explains the 4-4-2. He's due a goal. Your blind faith in Shola =
Neil
Can I assume that, while he's an absolute horror show of a Premier League footballer, the main gripe people have with him is seeing him stroll around the pitch, not even chasing down a loose ball - a ball he probably lost? Main gripe is that he doesn't look like a footballer most of the time. Offers no movement and times when a ball could be won he just fucking gives up. johnnypd
Can I assume that, while he's an absolute horror show of a Premier League footballer, the main gripe people have with him is seeing him stroll around the pitch, not even chasing down a loose ball - a ball he probably lost? i can forgive that if you have quality. what's worse is when a pass is played to him and he can't even be arsed to meet the ball and a player behind him nips in for an interception. happened when Jonas passed to him when in the box. then again on the ball a few seconds later he gave it away cheaply due to poor control, laziness, shitness etc.
Guest neesy111
Also he was having a go at Santon or Jonas near the end for not offering any movement. The fucking irony.
Lotus
Barring injury, he'll start against Fulham as Pardew seems to rate his 'input'.
gbandit
A constant source of disappointment for me. Not because I'm expecting anything either, I just find him disappointing. Shame because he's a lovely lad
NEEJ
I'm usually unreasonably defensive of Shola, but today he was utter, utter cack. He took frustration to another level in that second half.

Pilko
He was quite shit for large periods of the game today. Thankfully, it didn't really hurt us in the end.

Ronaldo
Basically an identical performance to WBA last May. Can't run, can't control, and about as much goal threat at Tim Krul.
