huss9
it's gotten to the point where if I met Mike at a match (however unrealistic), I would give him a smile and a nod - whereas previously would have wanted to hurl abuse at him and shake my fist at him in an agressive but comedy manner. BONTEMPI
Nope, but I do like the direction they are going. Just taken a long time to implement.

Pilko
It'll take a long time before they're 'forgiven' but they're certainly well on the way to winning over some of the less stubborn fans.

MyPalAl
Been a canny transfer window, HBA signing got everyone happy it seems. Mike and Derek are even getting decent press on here. So are the 'Cockney Bastards' starting to feel our love? ridiculous...and no-one should ever forget the relegation How's that ridiculous? It has been canny, certainly considering the lowered expectations
Dave
They are doing the right thing at this moment in time They appear to be, but most of us thought that when Keegan was starting that season too. We appear to be heading in the right direction at present but that doesn't (and probably never will) absolve what happened.
Skeletor
Fact is no matter what good Mike Ashley has done this summer he's always likely to hit the self destruct button. If we're safe at the end of the season then maybe he's forgiven.

cp40
he is just running the club in a manner that he thinks will give him the best chance of re-couping his money. Anything good that comes of it is entirely coincidental.
Thespence
I have always said I can be won over its football its a rollercoaster. Ash is never going to be as slick with PR as Jonny Hall & Del boy is the Bramble of MD's/CEO's.

It would be very hard to completely "forgive" them for the whole 2008-09 relegation season, the best they can do is to do what they are doing at the moment and continue on from there. Bit of a stretch to call this thread merely 'positive' considering what has happened under this regime. It's bonkers.

Skirge
NO!!! HELL NO!! Top four finish this season and still NO! I will admit thy are doing things in a much better manner but its going to take a long long time before forgiveness and trust
David Icke - Son of God
No. I could forgive the effective sacking of Keegan pretty quickly if it was for the good of the club but it wasn't, we went down. To even get back on amicable terms with the fans he needs to establish us as a Premier League club and if he wants to really get in our good books a top 8 going on 6 club. The relegation season alone should give people something to think about. He did everything wrong at the worst possible time, he's still capable of that. The biggest thing Ashley can do to help repair his reputation is sack Llambias. The man is a snotty, obnoxious cunt who should stick to running casinos. He's done nothing to connect with the fans which is a world a way from how Mort, who I know was equally as complicit in the dreaded DoF idea, did things. Communication is the buzz word and rightly so.

I'd be interested to see how Ashley acted had we not been financially buggered but that is still no excusing the fact Ashley didn't spend when he really, really needed to and risk the very future of this club. Shepherd was a knowing cunt, Ashley was a naive cunt. Either way I still hate the cunts.
