Would actually be a better option that Tiote in Alan's failed midfield 3 experiment.

what failed ? good away win, good 20mins at home and it still hasn't settled yet. was everton a midfield 3 ?

Nothing but he's sacked it off already so in his eyes it's failed hence Alan's failed...

Watch him come back and play a blinder!!!  :)

There are many ways you can use blind and Jonas in the same sentence, 'blind alley', 'like a blind man', 'blind drunk' but 'blinder' is not one of the usual suspects.

Looking forward to seeing him this Saturday.

Like the turd you tried to squeeze out for days.

Anyone else get a streak of hemorrhoid blood on the first piece when you squeeze it out finally after a few days of traveling and the fear of public washrooms this inevitably brings?

No?

Just checking.

Did his job very well. Never stopped closing down, never stopped running and made some crucial tackles and clearances. Actually provided a bit of an outlet at times, too. He's a good option from the bench in these kind of games.

Just another day in the life of the sexy Mr Unpopular. Play on, playa.

Great defensive header too. Wrong end like.

A cunning ploy to showcase his defensive worth to the team. Ney good if we're two goals ahead.

 That was horrific like.

He did alright at a push, but really doesn't excite me seeing him out on the pitch again.

There's still a bit of lingering man love for him. Bit like when you see that ex bird ten years on, and she's still retained some of the sexiness that attracted you in the first place but there is apparent ageing & fattening that shadow those qualities...

Those were the days... swoon!

We'll not be playing him at fucking left-back again though, will we? He'd likely come on to shore things up the middle of the park. Derby games are hard work and like it or not, Pardew will be looking to 'close out' the result by 70-75 minutes.

I'd rather not even picture that scenario. We know how it generally ends up at the SOS.

Jonas is a good option for the role Pilko is talking about. It's pretty much all he's good for really. Slowing the play down, keeping possession. He can hold it up, to a degree, in the final third. Can also win a header or two when we inevitably start punting it long in the final section of the game. I'd rather he came on than Sammy or Cisse in a scenario where we're narrowly in the lead and need to close the game out. I'd probably rather have Obertan on n'all, tbh.
