Newcastle Fan
I doubt it'll be that high. Literally no-one wants to go People from the gulf region alone will fill the stadiums up.

Disco
Sounds like the PL are going to kick off about this, at least, stop stealing our TV monies but keep giving us sponsor monies etc.
jdckelly
and thats it I'm done with World Cups you send it to Russia despite its numerous problems with racism in stadiums and thats not getting into the real world stuff they're involved in and send it to Qatar where its illegal to be gay and they have the basic equivalent of slave labour dying to build these stadiums sorry you've killed the world cup for me. AyeDubbleYoo
Can't imagine how a WC can possibly happen in November-December. What are the Premier League going to do, just cancel all their matches?

What are the Premier League going to do, just cancel all their matches? It'll be a great chance for us to win some games Didn't even think of that. Most of our dudes won't be off on duty while most of Man U/Chelsea/Arsenal type squads will be away. Bonus.
Village Idiot
We'll probably get a two-month winter break and make up for it in the preceding and following summer. A WC during winter, while I'm still not on holidays. This is going to suck mightily.
JH
They'll probably just start the season in July and end it in June. WC players will be f***ing knackered like
Village Idiot
Looks like La Liga will be against it too. Until they get bought off, the corrupt wankers.
Interpolic
This surely needs to be the thing that causes some top nations to tell FIFA to fuck off? Absolutely cannot be allowed to happen.
jdckelly
This surely needs to be the thing that causes some top nations to tell FIFA to fuck off? Absolutely cannot be allowed to happen. not when these nations are getting bribed as much as the confederations and FIFA. They're all corrupt top to bottom and its beyond all hope of redeeming the organisation. The really sad thing is the ones cleanest in all of this are the bloody clubs and thats mostly because they would like to kill international football full stop not that they need to do much, FIFA and UEFA seems to be doing a fair job of doing it on their own. Miercoles
Kidding mate? He'll be captain of England by then, trying to bring home the cup as the perfect ending to his glittering international career.
themanupstairs
This is the absolute worst idea ever. Can't wait for things to completely go wrong either with shitstain FIFA or that shitstain country.
Stifler
So to prevent players playing in the heat they are now moving it to winter and then having to move the ACON to the summer where players will be subjected to playing in the heat once again, fucking lunatics. Beren
The domestic schedule rejigging doesn't bother me half as much as the human rights issues in Russia/Qatar, and the domestic schedule rejigging is really, really, REALLY daft.
henke
The bit that pisses me off is qatar is an utterly retarded place to even think about hosting a world cup. It fails on every level except the biggest bribe.

EthiGeordie
Hello Europeans you don't rule the world like old times. A new world order is in place. The PL Starts in July and it ends the following June. Selfish pricks complain for 7 years time most here will die at that time anyways.
ponsaelius
The domestic schedule rejigging doesn't bother me half as much as the human rights issues in Russia/Qatar, and the domestic schedule rejigging is really, really, REALLY daft. You say that as if the World Cup hasn't previously been awarded to fascist Italy in 1934, the Argentinian military junta in 78 and Colombia in 86 a country riddled with internal corruption and a full scale guerilla drug war. Both South Africa and Brazil arguably have societal problems that give Russia a run for their money and both are vastly more dangerous countries for visitors than either Qatar or Russia. FIFA don't really give a shite, basically. Especially not when there is dollar to be pocketed.

ponsaelius
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2022_FIFA_World_Cup#Venues This really shows how fucking ridiculous it is btw. All but one of the stadiums in the greater Doha area The other one at the top: Ash-Shamal (Arabic: الشمال) is a municipality in the state of Qatar. Its capital is called Madinat ash-Shamal and it is considered to be one of the major cities in Qatar.[2] The name means "City of the north" - although the population is barely over 5,000. Ash Shamal will be home to the proposed 45,330-seat Al-Shamal Stadium, one of 12 venues used in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
