Alan Pardew

At least got his substitutions right (for the most part), but they were too late and it was painfully obvious that they some players out there should not have started tonight.

He missed the most obvious one tbh.

This shitty performance is on Pardew. Why the f*** did Raylor get a whole game? You have to wonder if he's our new regular left back. Changes were too little too late. Don't know what the f*** he was thinking today. We were so gash - and he did nothing. Horrible.

Fair play if he thinks Santon should make his debut at home to ease him in. No more excuse though.

Only saw the second half (and read about the first on here!) but that was a fairly damning indictment of Pardew's managerial skills (if we forget his lies for a moment).

Wanka'

No longer do we have a team and manager we're proud of, instead we have a team who play like a shit Stoke and players and a manager we're not fond of.

STaylor's job when Raylor had that freekick was to be a dick  That was funny tbf. He actually ended up saving our bacon, but as ever, walking liability/certifiable moron.

The role of full-backs in the modern game can't be understated - yet Pardew does seem to ignore this. Without ball-playing full-backs, a team becomes shit. Jonas is pegged back/stifled, Tiote can't play a passing game/becomes flustered on the ball with no options/strikers get long balls/opposition get more possession and the defence is under more pressure.

Fucking annoying. Still at least we're fourth and more cracks have been papered over.

[/garbled rant over]

Just realised our team has played about 25 minutes (last 5 of the first half v Fulham, second 20 of second half v Fulham) of decent football this season so far. How the fuck we have 8 points is unfair on our opposition and spawny as fuck for us.

Can't believe our fans were singing his name in the Fulham game. The jury is still out on him, thanks mainly to the incompetent twats upstairs. But now that he says he's "happy" with the squad, there's no excuses for performances like tonight.

Can't argue with the points return but anyone with eyes can see we're riding our luck massively so far. We can't keep relying on our opponents to let us off the hook.

 Have to say Sunderland would actually be a pretty good comparison right now. This is the sort of shit we were laughing at them for last season, saying their luck was soon to be running out.

Can't really complain whilst the results are still flowing.

The problems and real test will come when the results start to dry up.

You can, and you should.

What more could we have done in these last four games like? Win them all?

Incredibly lucky tonight. How he did not sub Shola and Ryan Taylor at halftime I don't know. It was there for everyone to see. Hughton had a habit of learning from his mistakes when it came to pick teams. Just hope to god Pardew has the same, otherwise I can see trouble. The quality is there, he just needs to use it and get the formation right.

Shola and Best upfront is too static, we've got our midfielders sitting to deep leaving a GIANT gap between their midfield and defence. Ben Arfa in the hole could be the solution, until then he needs to start Ba - a bit more dynamic - or use Marveaux/Obertan/Jonas behind Best.

He could pick our best players in each position and he could do something about us hoofing the ball up every time we get it.

No one is complaining about the points on the board. To wait until the results are on a par with the performances before you acknowledge/pipe up that there are problems which require addressing is folly.
