Hughton had a habit of learning from his mistakes when it came to pick teams. Just hope to god Pardew has the same, otherwise I can see trouble. The quality is there, he just needs to use it and get the formation right. Shola and Best upfront is too static, we've got our midfielders sitting to deep leaving a GIANT gap between their midfield and defence. Ben Arfa in the hole could be the solution, until then he needs to start Ba - a bit more dynamic - or use Marveaux/Obertan/Jonas behind Best. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

To wait until the results are on a par with the performances before you acknowledge/pipe up that there are problems which require addressing is folly. In my years following NUFC we are generally always are a sucker for the hyped up promoted sides. Some of the criticism of Pardew is justified, but it's a point gained overall.
