Set off at 8am in car from the Toon and making very slow progress. Not even at Scotch Corner yet and passed 4 bad crashes. A1 is like an ice rink and we haven't got above 40mph. At this rate we won't even make kick off.

On the A1 southbound between the junctions with the A66 and the A6136 Catterick South , there are currently delays of 15 mins caused by congestion due to an earlier jack-knifed lorry. Normal traffic conditions expected from 9:45 am.

good luck.........

From their official website:

GAME ON 9am

Despite the adverse weather conditions overnight and into this morning today's game against Newcastle at St. Andrew's is still scheduled to go ahead.

Due to the undersoil heating system the pitch remains soft and playable and the falling snow is being regularly swept off the surface.

A dedicated team of maintenance staff are also working hard to make sure all concourses and walkways are safe.

Supporters are advised to allow as much time as possible to get to the stadium and also to check for any travel information that may cause them to seek alternative routes, such as part of the M6 Southbound which was closed due to snow earlier this morning.

Any further updates will of course appear here at bcfc.com and in the local media.
