Bentley would be a great signing, top class player who's lost his way and place in the team, its really the upper limit of players we can attract right now from within England. Its all good getting a Tiote or a HBA, but we need to keep the English core and we won't hit lucky going foreign every time.

Obviously its all about the fee, anything north of £7m and it probably isn't the right move for us. But if we can get him on the cheap i'd be delighted.

Ryan taylor might be a better alternative to Bentley if he wasn't a spastic.

Arguably, his best-known act as a Spurs player was pouring a bucket of cold water over Redknapp as Tottenham celebrated clinching a Champions League berth

Very arguably considering he scored that 50 yarder against Arsenal

I hope there's a decimal fucking point missing from that figure.

If we're spaffing that kind of sum on a pair of Spurs rejects we'll not be buying HBA and he's better than both.

This is Mike Ashley we're talking about. Half season loan for each with clause to buy for 50p if they play every game for the rest of the season more like.

Tbf, he said there is something in both, but not sure for us.

He did however say they fit the bill of the type of player he's looking for 'who can carry the shirt'.

We won't spend £13m btw, if KD is correct

Souness type bollocks that. He used to say that all of the time.

How did anyone know Tiote could 'carry the shirt'?

Complete crock of shite.

Pardew has a different attitude to Hughton it appears then, when confronted with questions about rumours.

They'll be having him down to London for a bollocking tomorrow.

Probably do it in the privacy of a poker room though.

Btw I really don't think I'd bother with Bentley with Barton capable of playing like this. It's just a waste of resources.

Use the brass on a striker.

Could Bentley not play on the left? Get Jonas dropped.

Obviously a striker is a necessity anarl.
