TRon
Blackburn? Blackburn Rovers? This Larsson kid is a mentalist.... Where are the apologists who were having a go at people for questioning his desire? Once again, Larsson please take your money and fuck off to the shithole known as Blackburn. Minhosa
I could see him at Blackburn actually. Obviously money over ambition/job satisfaction. No problem with that as long as his Agent is honest about it. He's clearly been hawked around a few clubs, tested the market and he's opted for the biggest payer because on every other level footballer would choose to ply his trade at NUFC rather than at Blackburn. LoveItIfWeBeatU
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/9362292.stm Birmingham v Aston Villa team news: Phil Dawkes reports: "On-loan Tottenham midfielder David Bentley makes his Birmingham debut in place of Sebastian Larsson, who is on the verge of a move to Newcastle. This is one of three changes, with David Murphy coming into their defence for the injured Scott Dann and Matt Derbyshire starting as lone striker in place of Cameron Jerome. Aston Villa make four changes to the side that beat Sheffield United 3-1 in the FA Cup. With winger Ashley Young suspended there is a slight change of tactic, with John Carew coming in to partner Gabriel Agbonlahor in attack. Stewart Downing and Stiliyan Petrov come into midfield in place of Robert Pires and Barry Bannan, while James Collins takes Carlos Cuellar's place in defence." Guest Ante77
Seb Larsson was going to be attending a sponsor get together in Sweden on Wednesday were some swedish TV channels and papers were going to interview him. Now this has been cancelled on tuesday night with no further comments from Seb or his agent. Could it be that he´s in Newcastleand unable to travel to Sweden due to that? Guest
He could also be in Liverpool, Blackburn, Sunderland, Newcastle or even Birmingham.

They definitly have the money after today, and also a pay-check less. But so do we since we ship out Routledge! I can only hope....

Ryan_Taylor
With Routledge most likely gone permanently, we must have a bit more room on the wage bill. But would that end up looking like we're getting held to ransom a bit
Cajun
Can't see it, although maybe Pardew was told if he wanted us to match Larsson's wages he would have to make room for them. That's complete bollocks though.
toontownman
Can see this one coming back round. Not exactly cockahoop if it does, he blatantly doesnt want to come here. Still prefer someone quicker than Larsson, we might aswell just keep a currently superior Barton out there. A great squad player to have but we should be looking to upgrade the starting eleven.
