Nobody
This sounds a bit like a RTG thread to me. Do you think you should be looking at Europa League qualification this season?
Dr Venkman
So if we qualify we won't buy any new players to add depth to the squad? I doubt we'd buy enough. We'd need at least 4/5 quality incomings and no outgoings to compete on all fronts. Why not though? Who's said we aren't going to buy those 4/5 quality players? mike ashley? jdckelly
as i've said a few times, its quite possible for us to get europe, along with half the league but don't think its likely and i'd be wary of it too soon tbh

It's one thing signing players, it's signing players of quality that is important.

We are still yet to see him make the step up but there's time. Way too soon to write him off. I'm pleased with our spending.
RupertCommunicator
NO manager will ever get it right with signings 100% of the time. Just look at some of the dross Alex Ferguson has signed to go with his class signings. Oh, and he crumbled like a soggy kit kat when Rooney threw his weight around and now he has a £200,000 per week League One standard player. You'll always get some rubbish signings, but they can be moved on.
Colocho
Don't think Europe would be good for us next season, unless we bring in 3 or 4 good players.
ponsaelius
Don't think Europe would be good for us next season, unless we bring in 3 or 4 good players. We'd drastically struggle with the current squad depth. Still, wouldn't exactly be disappointed. Love European football, even when playing shitty little teams you've never heard of. ponsaelius
Have you seen the standard of most of the teams in the Europa League?! Manchester City Lech Poznań Bayer Leverkusen Aris Sporting CP Lille Villarreal PAOK Dynamo Kyiv BATE CSKA Moscow Sparta Prague Zenit St. Petersburg Anderlecht Stuttgart Young Boys PSV Eindhoven Metalist Kharkiv Paris Saint-Germain Sevilla Liverpool Napoli Porto Beşiktaş There's the last 32. That team posted would be beaten comfortably by all of those teams.
