FWIW. I think Zog is in the bag especially as I cannot really seeing us get either Gervinho or Gameiro.

He would be a great addition and it will be interesting to see who we get up front. My money is on either N'Gog or Long or maybe both.

I'd prefer Zog to Gervinho tbh, at least he is proven EPL quality and will cost cheaper due to his contract running down. And this time round there'll be no one who'd forget his name again.

Several mackem mates are claiming nzogbia is set too sign for them??

If it happens it's because we've got our first target which must be Gervinho.

Or we have missed out on both and Puncheon is coming up for a medical.

Yep, Pards won't forget his name, but he might shag his wife.

(That reminds me, we should have a silver hair song for Pardew in the style of the Colo one)

Oh Alan Pardew you are incredibly crass

Oh Alan Pardew keep your hands off my lass

Oh Alan Pardew, I want silver hair too!

Is Zoggy only considered to be a attacking winger now or is he still used as a versatile player? I remember him doing brilliantly for us as defensive central midfielder at Stamford Bridge. I suppose thoug, being our left back was one of the reasons he got frustrated here. But I can se him as a great box to box central midfielder.

I reckon £7m for Enrique, £8m for N'Zogbia.....even though Enrique is better.

How is he better?

Enrique's a better left back then Zog is a winger.  Its pretty hard to compare them directly obviously as they have very different jobs.  I just think that Enrique is among the top few players in his position in the league, while IMO Zog isn't.

I rate Cole, Evra, Clichy, Baines and Kolorov as all being better than Enrique. How many right wingers are better than N'Zogbia because I think he could get in at Spurs, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea in that position.

I've always been a fan of Enrique's but the one thing that will put the top clubs off him is his lack of ability going forward, which is what they look for in their fullbacks since they spend most of their time on the front foot.

:spit:

Souness thought he was a great defensive midfielder - "the next Scott Parker" was the quote.

But there again, he thought Jenas was a right back, Shola was a winger, and Boumsong was a Premier League footballer.
