Dave
@LukeEdwardsTele Luke Edwards On N'Zogbia, the guy is being advised he should get 60k a week so that's what he wants. 4 minutes ago via web @LukeEdwardsTele Luke Edwards Neither #safc or #nufc have that sort of money to spend on top of a fee of at least £9m. He is also a difficult character, moody and sulky. 2 minutes ago via web @LukeEdwardsTele Luke Edwards N'Zogbia wd be a great signing, but unless they are bluffing/lying neither #safc or #nufc are bidding for him. Primed for #avfc anyway now. 1 minute ago via web

mofo
Folk still going on about Barton in CM? Pathetic.
Ronaldo
For the record, i'd rather have Jonas in a midfield 3 than Barton.

toontownman
Talk of Barton in cm Spans from his city days when he was fantastic and pulled all the strings, pissed all over us both times I watched us there. Sewelly is spot on though in terms of games for us. Slot depends on who is around him and how we are playing he needs time and space, as mentioned to flourish. From his time here there it's night and day between out on the right and through the middle, if we can ain't broke don't fix it.

I am getting slightly pissed off at the cheap digs at his character though, which the club seem to be leaking through their Journal unofficial spokesman. Mr. Snrub
Downing Out, Zog in is 100% nailed on unfortunately. The money they will get for Downing + Young is about the same as we got for Carroll yet Villa can afford Zog and we can't.
Yorkie
Would be so fucking annoying seeing him go to Villa. There's no way they've got a bigger pull than we do, especially not to N'Zogbia.

I know it isn't a direct quote which is why I referred to this stuff being "leaked" via (ex) Journal sources. I just don't see what Edwards has to gain from putting a negative spin on Zog coming here. If he's not putting the club point of view across why would he say that? Ketsbaia
Surely if you pay £9m, those wages should be expected? I'm banging my head off a wall here, don't they see how great he'd be for us? So frustrating.

As far as I can see he's just saying that Zoggy's character is like that. I don't see any reason to assume he's been fed that by the club. How much influence do think NUFC have on the content of Luke Edward's tweets?

How much influence do think NUFC have on the content of Luke Edward's tweets? Luke Edwards was one of the more impartial journalists during his stint up here and I imagine he's got contacts close to the club still. His tweets fit with our stance on Zog whether by coincidence or design. Of course the club could still make us all look like mugs by swooping in and signing Zog but I think I'll go with Luke's version at this point. Ketsbaia
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3687216/Liverpool-and-Aston-Villa-will-have-to-fork-out-20million-for-Charles-NZogbia.html LIVERPOOL and Aston Villa will have to fork out at least £20million for Charles N'Zogbia. Both clubs have been linked with a move for the Wigan winger, 25. But the Latics do not want him to go on the cheap. Chairman Dave Whelan said: "I see some players being sold for £20m or £30m and Zoggy's better. "We've had bids but they're nowhere near our valuation." Dave
He's already shown his hand, they'll be lucky to get the £9m suggested previously the longer it goes.
