gdm
6 points off bottom 3. Arsenal next, no strikers. in deep shit
Guest Wally_McFool
Any out of contract forwards we can sign up for a few weeks. Bernie Slaven or Supermac perhaps?
Guest Heneage
Ranger's the least threatening striker I've seen in the Premier League his lack of effort just makes me dislike him. The fight just got a bit harder.
ohmelads
We're in for a big struggle on today's evidence. Our better players like Enrique put in an unusually bad performance. We had nothing up front and nothing on the bench. Ameobi injured, Arsenal up next. Worrying stuff.
Keefaz
I blame the blue shirts. Impossible to judge how we'll play based on a blue shirt game.
Cronky
Their passing was a lot better than ours. Pardew now has to figure out our best striking option. Unfortunately, it's probably Ranger and Nolan.
Zero
Nolan must be dropped. No one to replace him. Anyone. This guy's completely disappeared from the pitch. We really play like a 10-men team.
JH
First time this season when the players were asked to go out, forget everything and give a performance. Any they couldn't. I'm not angry. Just really disappointed. Utterly toothless performance.
Guest Brazilianbob
As I said earlier the team spirit has been crushed by Carroll being sold and as it wasn't Pardew who built up the team spirit he won't know how to rebuild it. Basically we are f***ed by the clubs greed.
Guest YANKEEBLEEDSMAGPIE
If you could sum out how we played tonight in one word, what would it be? ominous
Darth Crooks
Could really have done with this being a home game tonight. a centre midfield would've helped...tiote be praised. he is risen
sparkzter
Can we recall Routledge?
chicago_shearer
Who needs points when you have 35 mil in transfer fees.
Belfast Boy
I've not read the thread but does anyone know who the big black guy was on the bench behind Pardew? Could have been Campbell but he was on the bench wasn't he? This guy was in an overcoat and scarf.
BONTEMPI
this is all Andy Carroll's fault. The problem is buying no fucking players to replace the shite that are here.
jdckelly
fucking blue shirts
Tachikoma
Their passing was a lot better than ours. Pardew now has to figure out our best striking option. Unfortunately, it's probably Ranger and Nolan. Whatever it is, it isn't two upfront. The fewer passengers on the team the better.
Disco
Hopefully just a one off like Bolton/WBA and we'll come back firing on all cylinders like we did after those games against a "big" team at home.
ponsaelius
Enrique needs to be put out of the team for that defending during the goal Hadaway man And play who? Am I being whooshed here?
GM
If you could sum out how we played tonight in one word, what would it be? Desperate.
KaKa
Nolan must be dropped. Should never play when Tiote is out. Terrible, terrible, terrible contribution to the team every game. Only useful when he can goal poach, which he can't do without Tiote. In reality an absolutely woeful footballer when taking everything into account. Isn't even in appropriate physical condition. I think he's disgusting.
Hanshithispantz
To bored to even care to be honest, just completely and utterly underwhelmed.
Guest YANKEEBLEEDSMAGPIE
not the first time nolan's been worthless this season though, to be fair. he gets us garbage goals, which are now going to be even more important if we are going to get results. Ronaldo
Lost a player, gained a relegation battle. Well done to all involved. I hope all those who said it didn't matter that we'd sold Carroll now as opposed to the summer feel pretty fucking stupid. We can look forward to plenty more games in which we don't trouble the keeper one single bit.
Zero
Now I really start to worry for relegation. I can't see us beating any team now. We simply can't score.
