TBG
Shall we not give it another 3-4 months to see how we get on? Its still very earl days. Tiote, Cabaye, Marveaux, Ben-Arfa, Santone, Abeid..... Havent these all arrived under his watch and probably a few others who slip my mind? James Robert Perch. Guest antz1uk
i understood perch was a Hughton signing and it was him that persisted to get his signature, although somebody feel free to correct me if im wrong
summerof69
I think Hughton would be given the credit though Calderwood played a part in him coming. What about Best was he a Hughton signing ?
STM
Some really good signings have come from Carr, as well as some solid ones too. I honestly think Obertan will suprise a few people and become an astute piece of business at 3m too. The big test will be identifying (and signing) a good striker. At a guess: Best, Ba, Campbell and Perch were not Carr selections. I think Gosling might have been.

True, but who are we talking here, Llambias? Charnley? Are there others who actually do most of the spadework? Either way, top stuff on the recruitment side, staff as well as the players tbh. Shame they fucked up so royally when it came to the task of getting a goddamn striker in.

Revolution Number 9
He's the head scout isn't he, so I imagine he'll be coordinating the efforts of a fair few other scouts employed by the club, they could be the ones doing the sniffing. Think the credit the scout team gets is more to do with finding out that these kind of players would be available and interested in joining due to whatever circumstances and for coming to that conclusion before other clubs do, Cabaye is the ultimate example of this IMO. Im sure lots of people might have known how good Cabaye, Ben-Arfa, and co are but the bottom line is we got them.
