Guest elbee909
@Sammy_Ameobi Samuel Ameobi Can't wait for paintballing next week, players vs staff...no chance in spotting Sammy "STEALTH" Ameobi! 10 minutes ago via Twitter for iPad Must be nice for Nile, finally he'll be first choice. Be cool if Ashley were paintballing. I'd buy shares in Dulux now.

However, with Nigeria already tapped into Ameobi’s progress, the English FA must monitor the situation carefully or risk missing out. The Chronicle understands both Ameobi and Dan Gosling were studied closely by Pearce during the enthralling 4-3 Carling Cup win at the City Ground in midweek. Gosling has already won three caps for the Three Lions’ under-21s and appeared in their last game against Israel at Barnsley’s Oakwell. Ameobi is eligible for both Nigeria and England, and earlier this year appeared in under-20 friendly games in Dubai for the Super Eagles against Egypt and Saudi Arabia. However, until a player is capped at senior level, they are able to play at junior rank for different countries. Mehdi Abeid is another United starlet who has options after playing for France Under-18s, but is wanted by Algeria. Sammy – unlike his older brother Shola – was born in Newcastle and, when asked which country he preferred to play, replied: “Any team which gives me the opportunity.” Not only did Pearce see Ameobi’s 50-minute run-out against Forest, he was also at Loftus Road to see him against QPR. For now, the Magpies have told Ameobi junior to keep on working hard and focus on his club football. United boss Alan Pardew said: “Sammy just needs to keep on doing what he has been doing and working as hard as he can. “He has made a few good cameos and that is the type of role he will continue to have for now.”
