Guest Shaun
Swansea have reportedly agreed a £7.2m fee with Hoffenheim to sign Sigurdsson on a permanent basis. Quite surprised that Swansea have been able to come up with that much money! (if it's true, that is). £7 million+ was perhaps a bit too steep for us (not that we were actually in for him mind). Swansea's initial bid, thought to be close to £4m, was rejected by the Bundesliga club, who are keen to recoup the fee they paid for Sigurdsson. The Welsh club earned £45.9m from television and prize money during their first season in the Premier League, finishing 11th in the table, and so have funds to strengthen the squad. ponsaelius
Both him and Rodallega were on the bench because they were out of contract at the end of the season and refusing to renew. Clearly Martinez was already planning long-term.
Ketsbaia
He just didn't fit into their 3-4-3 style, which required the energy of the wonderfully named McCarthy and McArthur. Similar to how Tiote was often a sub at Twente.
Cajun
Rodaellga a free too? Think he is a little overrated on here at times but as a free transfer to boost the striker options...
