Barça have announced that Keita is leaving. No word on the destination, but apparently China.

Dalian Aerbin is the name of the club.

Whatever happened to trying to set up a link with Dalian Shide?

Bayer Leverkusen have stated that they have turned down a bid in excess of £16million from Chelsea for Andre Schurrle.

The Blues have long been linked with the 21-year-old German international, and now Bayer have revealed that they have turned down a bid.

Leverkusen chief executive Wolfgang Holzhauser has stated that Chelsea offered in excess of €20million for their prized asset - but they rejected it.

"We were presented with a very concrete offer from Chelsea for Andre of beyond the €20million mark," Holzhauser is quoted by German news agency SID.

"The sum was pushed back and forth between the two clubs. We ultimately chose Andre.

"Andre is very valuable for us. He has also made it clear he would like to stay with us."

Chelsea must be easily impressed. Had a quality season couple of years ago, but hasn't exactly kicked on since.

But then... this is the same club that paid 70 odd million for Torres and Luiz.

Fucking idiots.

Good player. If they're after a wide-forward they could do a lot worse, especially if money is no object. Sort of suggests they've given up on Hulk too.

Giles Barnes has joined Greek side PAOK on trial with a view to a permanent deal.

PAOK are managed by former Blackburn ace Giorgos Donis, and they are currently at a pre-season camp in Holland.

24-year-old midfielder Barnes, who spent last season with Doncaster, has now linked up with the Thessaloniki outfit.

Barnes will spend the next ten-days with PAOK.

Barnes could be the second signing from England within a week for PAOK, after the agreed a loan deal with Tottenham for South African Bongani Khumalo.

Park is a good signing for QPR, would have liked it if he came here.

Why?

Whenever i've seen him (I may have only seen him when he's played well) , he's been a hard worker, not the best player but would be good as a back-up.

Park is finished.

Fergie almost always gets rid of his long-serving players at exactly the right time, he is no different. Had a poor season last year and is definitely on the way out.

Completely.

Also once again another signing that shows how limited Mark Hughes is in the transfer market. The odious cunt that he is.

The Park of his PSV days would have been a great signing for anybody. High intensity, multipurpose creative attacking player. The Park of the last few years has been a good squad player for Man U, but not really the type to make a telling impact for a lower level club.

After some of his displays last year I think QPR will get neither of these. Maybe not as useless as Smith or Butt but not a good signing.

Agreed. Ferguson will be laughing at £5m.

Can't wait to watch QPR sink like a stone having spunked all this money. Nothing club with a bog-standard overpaid squad and a prick of a manager; would not be surprised in the slightest if they went down.

Aye spot on, might've been on Toontastic where I said exactly the same thing when somebody on there said he would be a good signing.

Haha, just read it now, nearly word for word.

You'd never give up a chance to highlight another player who has been blunted by Fergie for the greater cause though.  O0

£5M is way to high for him, should never have gone higher then £1M.

hmmm £5m may be too high for him but think mixture of experience and workrate from him can be invaluable in a team not known for quite working as a team. Can see why they got him and think he may well do pretty well for them.

Come to think of it, MUFC selling Park and replacing him with a Japanese player is probably one if the only things they could have ever done to lose all their support out here.

Fergie has answered my prayers

Apparently Brendan Rodgers has came out and said LFC are hopefully going to tie up a deal which isn't a large fee for an exciting player. Praying it's not Demba like!
