Keep it as long as the players don't mind playing for free

Aye because the TV money is our only income.

What and wages are our only outgoing?

People seem to forget the costs of a Premiership club, they think its all run on fairy dust and magic beans.

You talk some utter drivel at times.

And Chelsea signed Hazard's bro too

TBF to them he's a Belgian international these days so they'll probably profit on him, not that he'll get a game for them.

Osvaldo could be a fantastic signing, wonder if they'll rotate him and Lambert?

Osvaldo > Lambert = Lambert warms the bench.

I can't remember anybody saying that wages were our only expense.  You may not have noticed but we managed to pay Ashley £11 million in our last set of accounts.

Newcastle re-enter the world’s top 20 revenue-generating clubs after increasing turnover to £93.3m

A fifth-place finish in the league saw TV income swell by 14.6%

Season ticket prices their ticket revenue has fell by 7%

Commercial revenue fell by 12.7%

operating profit is down from £13.3m to £7.5m

wages-to-turnover at 68.7%, an increase of 8.1% rise relative to last year’s ratio - That doesn't include the January signings.

Btw the TV deal is worth around £20m more than what we usually get, not £65m extra.

Also the amount of free Advertising he's had for Sports direct.

How much would that commercial arrangement cost (I'm working on the assumption we had a half decent commercial team)

4-3-3 chaos

        Wanyama          Schneiderlin

                      Ramirez

Osvaldo                                  Lallana

                      Lambert

Half-joking.

Pretty sure he played out wide at times for Espanyol.

Either way he'd do a better job out wide than Cisse is capable of.

Southampton haven't half thrown some money around.

By being so frugal we are actually going backwards, Looking at other teams around us only emphasises that.

Aye probably just seems a shame for a player obvs in the form of his life.

Still nice to have options.

A current Italian international striker joining So'ton from Roma for £15m man, the PL has gone too far. Fucking ridic.

If they drop my Lambert, I won't be held responsible for my actions.

IS RICKY LAMBERT IN YOUR FANTASY TEAM YOU DID NOT ONCE MENTION THIS LAST NIGHT?

Someone's a bit touchy tonight ;D

I guess Human Rights Watch - Sunderland bureau has left the office for the evening.

I guess 4 out of 6 delivered for me - Szczesny, Toure, Collins and TRICKY DICKY LAMBERT!!!

Is Osvaldo good, like? Hope this doesnt affect Lambert.

iirc southampton spent rather big last summer too, one of the bigger spenders in europe

Just read on Times football site, they've spent £70m in 2 seasons with next to nothing going out.
