merlin
With the wages we pay out these days this wount cover a £10 mill player Ah well, just time to wish Cabaye good luck. Maybe we should move with him? It might improve your life expectancy....and his !
merlin
The hero worship that was once affordedthis guy. How do players just behave the way they do? Never ceases to amaze me. Bitch move by one hell of a diva. Do we just expect players to not f*** us off when we have zero ambition? I cannot blame him, I don't necessarily respect him for it but I cannot blame him. On the flip side we've just been anal filsted by a bunch of over-payed divas. This - if the club had any ambition and wasn't a laughing stock, run by a mendacious fool, players wouldn't want to leave. There wasn't a rush for the door when SJH and KK were in charge..... Stottie
When a decently run club makes a tidy profit on a talented player who's not really suited to their team, they remain in control of the situation and gain from it. With us, it just puts us further into disarray.
Kanj
how about we have an optimistic manager who knows where to put them, and how to bring the best out of them? And above him, we have f***ers that actually care about the success of the club. And success doesn't mean floating by in the premier league. The players are merely a reflection of the plague that has struck this club. Wouldn't be surprised if Pardew could drain the fight out of anyone. The season we were fifth he was a confident if not arrogant man and it actually seemed to work for us. As soon as we lost at Wigan away and Everton that season we've not been the same and he's literally been weak and scared to make any attacking type of decision. Coward. Miercoles
On the plus side, if he left we might score on a corner someday
nufcjb
wonder what Joey Barton thinks of this c*** now? Seem to remember he left the club after Cabaye was signed as a supposed replacement. Would rather have Barton and Nolan back than this c*** now...for football reasons only. Cabaye has been s*** for the past year..
rocksammy
15m plus sakho plus someone on loan Arsenal have to pay 25+m end of discussion
aussiemag
20 mill and then we sign Gomis, McCarthy and Thauvin.
Belfast Boy
The replacement, if there is one, has to be a left winger. Sissoko was being shoe horned in everywhere and now will play alongside Tiote when fit (lets not pretend we wont play 442). I'm not sure where Gouffran was meant to be playing last night, he seemed to be behind Cisse. Once Remy goes there someone to replace Jonas is obviously needed. Thauvin sounds ideal. Seeing as time is running out to spend anything we get for Cabaye a part exchange with Sahko would be great as Willo is far too close to the team again. Parky
Anything over 15m will be brilliant business money wise. Cabaye is wildly overrated. Obviously in a functioning Arsenal unit will look a better player. Gets inj a lot, is moody and imo too tiny for a PL midfielder.
BeloEmre
Can't wait to hear the excuse that after we sold Cabye everyone knew that we had a lot of money and asked crazy money for their players blablabla...
themanupstairs
I get the feeling they want to sell him because he's rebelled in one way or another against Pardew and the owner. If there was a dressing room revolt last season I wouldn't be surprised if he led it.
Filflop1
Pardews been touting him about for weeks he will leave we won't sign anyone fact and who can blame cabaye if he wanted to leave would you want to work for these muppets
brummie
I just saw Pardew talking about the "disrespectful" bid for Cabaye. I don't get that. How is it disrespectful? It is a laughably low bid which nobody expects to be successful, but I don't see why a manager of a PL club should be surprised to receive a bid for one of his players at any point during the transfer window. Then the whole "we prepared for three days with Cabaye" yada yada yada spiel is a pretty transparent piece of nonsense. He looks like he's squirming and making excuses after one game of the season. I can see why you'd find him annoying.

He can never just hold his hands up and say we were crap and need to sort it out in the coming games, it's always someone else's fault - this time the ref's and Arsenal's. captainhaircut
Sell him for 20, replacement for 10, use profit to pay off Pardew and get Poyet: Side instantly improved.
Tisd09
Whilst the timing is bad, Arsenal owe us nothing, so if a bid were to coming in it would have been better for has had it been today but the transfer window is open Arsenal haven't broke any rules. Wenger is under his own pressure so why should he give two f**ks about us or Pardew. Can't believe the bullshit about us doing well up to the sending off. We were 3rd place last night completely schooled. Albeit by a quality side but still we were spineless and clueless. We have talented players so the majority of the blame has to be with the manager. Wonder what Wenger would say if Moyes bid £15m for Wilshire on Saturday morning(or whatever day they play next) £10 million is a pisstake but not to Wenger and Arsenal. They see us making a profit and it's not as if Cabaye was in blistering form last season. Wenger is obviously starting out low. Can see us accepting £15 million which isn't a huge leap when you consider they upped their bid by £15,000,001 for Suarez Wenger would be tamping if Moyes did that but Wenger doesn't give a shit about us, and he always has been very hypocritical. Guest Roger Kint
I agree with most of that but as his only aim was to unsettle the player imo its tough to take. We needed him out there last night, thanks to Ashley/JFK's summer spending we had nigh on nowt else.
