Scotty66
Not sure if already posted but the Guardian have a story up saying that Man Utd are 'considering' a bid for Cabaye. No quotes or owt. toontownman
Wouldn't surprise me. Seems like they will come straight to the table with a reasonably offer, like Mata. Could see him gone by midweek.

Nah, this has got the Carroll deadline day written all over it. Just wonder who our last ditch (fake) bid will be for, this time?

Mole_Toonfan
We are shit without him, its been proven time and time again. Even if he's not scoring or making things happen he does things in other facets of the game which makes him vital. Things that you might not instantly notice but very important to the success of a team none the less.
Interpolic
£14m Pfffff, well that's frightening.

Guest
He was injured for large parts when we were shit last season, and has been fit the majority of our good one and a half seasons. Unless people are putting last season's farce down to his injury, those stats mean nowt. He's an awesome footballer but I'd not take much notice of that. TheHoob
He was injured for large parts when we were s*** last season, and has been fit the majority of our good one and a half seasons. Unless people are putting last season's farce down to his injury, those stats mean nowt. He's an awesome footballer but I'd not take much notice of that. Surely thats the point though? Aye him being out wouldn't have been the only factor but it was certainly one of them.
Skirge
He is our most important player, the most important we have had since Shearer, the thought of selling him makes me feel sick, the thought of selling him for a non astronomical fee just infuriates me. Mole_Toonfan
Tbf we lost two games before he got injured last season ( although a lot of draws mind) We then went to lose the next 11 or 12( can't remember which one) out of the next 13, that's not a coincidence. Wilson
those stats mean nowt. Somewhere, Happy Face has just got a massive shiver down his spine.

I don't think we'd have been much better off last season had he not missed as many games.

Dave
@CaulkinTheTimes Ashley's valuation of Cabaye said to be £25m ish. PSG bid well below that. #Nufc say no contact from #Mufc as yet. Testing few days ahead.

Mr. Snrub
Then 20 minutes later tweeted that he thinks he's worth between "£15m and £18m" One of Cabaye's legs must have gangrene.
Ketsbaia
If he values him at £15-18m, why make such a noise about £14m?

BONTEMPI
We're not spending any money, but look how we've hung onto our star player. Rinse and repeat.
Mole_Toonfan
If he values him at £15-18m, why make such a noise about £14m? He said he values him at 15-18m but in this market he's worth closer to 30. When you consider the players that have gone for over 20 and 30 its hard to argue with it tbh
