Bellamy has already said the other week he thinks we're all c***s and won't return

hate it when people do it but.......this.

Whilst I agree this is a non-starter, all of the 'c***s' he dealt with (Souness, Shearer, Shepherd) are long gone.

Not quite - in that ESPN Interview, he blamed the fans for getting Bobby the sack.

Whether he's right or wrong (thats for another discussion), its us he blames, and why he said he wont return.

He'd be right. Many forget the pathetic booing SBR went through in his final months here and choose to blame FFS.

He's not coming here, of course, but it would be outstanding if he did. I'm a huge admirer of his.

Didn't realise Shepherd used a boo-o-meter to decide when to sack his managers...

Craig Bellamy: “My greatest memory there was Bobby Robson, playing for Bobby Robson, so you know that was it really.

I was lucky he signed me and just to be involved with him, because he understood the club and you know he knew what the club was,

he knew what the people were, which I think was key to going into a new club. You have to understand who you represent and who you

are trying to play for, and he made it clear to us. we had a good team, we had a really good team, we were young, alot of athletes and

we finished third, fourth and fifth.

The year we finished fifth I could just sense it wasn’t, a few of the fans were expecting more they were expecting league titles.

Newcastle united win league titles? I don’t think so! And I just thought they expected and things started to turn alittle bit and

I just felt we didn’t start the season well particularly like we didn’t start any season well to be honest but we always

came back with a late run you know, and just got there.

We didn’t start one season too well and I can just remember, alot of fans were turning and booing and Skysports would be

outside the ground and Newcastle fans would be moaning about this and that, and it just led to the manager getting sacked,

which was just a complete shock and was embarrassing really when I look back on it now, how he can get the sack, but I also

thought the crowd played a big part of in that as well, and for me I’ve had options to go back up there since and I wont! no chance!

because I played for him and there is no one else to play for up there.”

EPL: “Yeah, there is no one else to play for once you’ve played for Sir Bobby maybe. Period.”

Craig Bellamy: “Well there is, but not at Newcastle!”

If that was true he'd have been sacked in may. Bobby was sacked due to players he treat like hisown sons not playing for him, not listening to him and not behaving, Bellamy was one of these kids and it's easier for Bellamy to blame us than take responsibility for disown actions.

Can remember when it was in the Chronicle that there'd been a photo taken of one of the players sticking their fingers up at Bobby Robson behind his back.  They didn't print the picture and never said who it was, does anyone know who it was?  Was quite near the end of his time as our manager.

Dyer will be mentioned.

I think most presumed it was Dyer but then someone said it wasn't.  It was a pretty ridiculous story in all honesty.

Was Bellamy thinking of Robson when he whinged in front of the Sky cameras about 5 minutes after Robson confirmed we wanted Rooney he said, 'Craig Bellamy has to think about Craig Bellamy' basically saying he'd go if Rooney joined? Little prick.

Exactly, there was a damaging perception that Robson was letting the young lads at the club get away with murder and Bellamy was a big part of that.

Yup, they all had a big part to play in the his demise as our manager. Plus, they're also part of the reason Shepherd decided to go for Souness due to his 'stricter' approach.

Fair play to them for showing remorse, in particular Dyer, as you could see how upset he was when he gave that interview post-match for West Ham just after SBR died.

Exactly, I've said it before but Shepherd's appointments seemed very reactionary.  Keegan's too cavalier, recruit the more pragmatic Dalglish.  Dalglish has taken the fun out of it, recruit the sexy football merchant Gullit.  Gullit has no idea what NUFC means to the city, recruit the local legend Bobby Robson.  Robson's too soft, get that arsehole Souness in to smash some skulls.  He kind of stumbled across Roeder and Allardyce being our manager always seemed to be on the cards for some reason, but the Souness appointment in particular was an example of bowing to public perception of how the club was being run and just getting a radgee in for the sake of it.

And tbh I must admit that I was happy with every one of those appointments bar Souness and to a certain extent Allardyce.  The idea that we could have hung around for Bobby Robson for 6 months until he finished his contract with Barcelona after Keegan left makes me die a bit inside though.

Journo's seem to be turning at the moment (not 'turning').

In what sense?

Taking the piss out of previous comment from the club like "top, top internationals from serie a coming on loan" and "Two top players from Germany" from Kinnear.

Pretty much 100% spot on. Shepherd was just a fat oaf who lacked football knowledge. Like a lot of chairmen really, but the smarter ones hire someone to do the thinking for them.

It does look like there was a discipline problem with the younger players, but Sir Bob also had problems with both Shepherd and Shearer.

There's also no question that a large percentage of fans wanted him out, and that didn't help. The situation became very tense. To be honest, it makes me a bit uneasy when his memory gets praised to the skies now. We ought to have treated him better at the time.

Taking the p*ss out of previous comment from the club like "top, top internationals from serie a coming on loan" and "Two top players from Germany" from Kinnear.

Probably tired of being spoonfed shit from the club then looking like dicks when the print the wrong stuff
