Yorkie
Needs to pick his arse up tbh. Was ropey in the second half against Liverpool and total gash today. Wouldn't mind sticking Shola in for Stoke. We could do with the extra height anyway. The guy's clearly exhausted, at the very least... he could use a rest in my opinion. We've got a tough end to the season, and any opportunity to recharge our best players, for the run-in, should be taken as far as i'm concerned. Shola's playing well at the moment anyway. It'll be a very physical game against Stoke, and if we're missing all three of Coloccini, Williamson and Tiote - i think we'll have to compensate a bit. That doesn't mean playing into the opposition's hands - it's just covering your backs. We know they're dangerous from set pieces. So anyway, do you fancy actually having a discussion on this occasion - or are you just going to reply with another smiley? Seems you've got a very inflated opinion of yourself nowadays, Sewelly. You're an asset to the forum because there's no doubting your knowledge of the game (particularly abroad), and i'm happy to read posts from people who know more about a certain subject than i do. But your posting style is pretty tedious since you got bummed at the forum awards. Wish you'd give it a rest. Have I missed something like? Nah, mate... my error. I thought Williamson was suspended having picked up a fifth yellow this afternoon (have since learned that the rules change near the end of the season and he's fine). And i thought Tiote must've been knackered considering the early sub, though Pards seems to think he'll be alright. As for Colo - is there any latest on him? Wouldn't be too surprised if he was still missing, though it'd be a massive boost to have him back so soon.
Pilko
I think the Bolton game was initially the game he 'could' be back for. To be honest, if he's touch-and-go/50-50 I'd just leave him out for the Bolton game and concentrate on getting him ready for next week. Perch and Williamson are in some good form right now. Karjala
Watched his reaction to Cisse's first goal, looked ower the moon! He will notch on Monday im sure. 2 great strikers at the top of the table pushing for europe, of course he's happy!

They have the potential to be a Cole/Yorke type partnership. That worked because Yorke was happy with his role as the 2nd striker. Not sure Demba will be so happy in the role? I thought Ba played the 2nd striker as his natural game, evan when he scoring earlier on in the season he was constantly dropping deeper and picking the ball up from midfield. Cisse is more of a last man striker

I'm fairly certain that Dekka said recently they dont do idividual incentives and only do team ones. I'm happy to be proved wrong of course.

The shackles will be taken off for the Bolton match, and im sure ba will get more of a liscence to get forward, where he wants to play...
Cajun
Why are you trying to create problems that aren't there? I mean what if Cisse improves his English, the communication with his team mates gets better and he stops relying on his natural instincts and stops scoring goals, WHAT IF THAT HAPPENS!!? A decent basic then a big lift if he plays, due to the knee issue.
Elliottman
"We just do straight contracts. We do no overseas pensions, no image rights. We say, 'This is your money, now you go away and talk to your tax advisers if you must.' "We don’t do goal bonuses. We had that with (Oba) Martins, maybe that’s why he would always shoot from the halfway line! We used to see him on the ball and think, 'Oh look. He’s going to shoot again.' "We’ve taken all that stuff out. We know exactly where we are. We do have team bonuses for success, in terms of positions. We would like to see deferred transfer payments phased out, so that you just pay for a transfer over a year.
Dr Venkman
He's talking shite about Ba in as many threads as possible, I'm not sure why Imagine if he gets more followers on twitter than Demba That will proper fuck him off ) I thought he was serious until that, it's just wummery

You are looking for problems where there are none imo.
gbandit
Pathetic is what it is, can't stand pointless speculation. It's fine for people to come up with reasoned, logical arguments but when people just start saying whatever they want it becomes a piss-take. The problem is, when someone comes up with this shit, there's normally a few people stupid enough to buy into it
hakka
Only a very sad person would look for unhappiness in Demba Ba from Newcastle winning and his fellow countrymen getting off to a flyer here. I think it's fantastic they are both here and now it looks like we are so close to being in Europe next season (maybe even Champions League if we are really fortunate) then I can't see them wanting to leave. Demba may not be scoring of late but he's hit the woodwork and forced some top saves, so he's been unlucky. Defenders are not going to give him an easy ride based on the many goals he has picked up this year and that's helped Cisse have more time and space to fire them in. Guest mimifrench
Demba Ba will be the special guest on a French sport "talkshow" called "The specialists" on Tuesday evening (Canal+ sport). Will be interesting to see how he's speaking about his current situation and how he sees the end of the season for NUFC... [Maybe he'll also tell to what club he's going next year ]
