Just saying like re Butcher.

I think the season will be a struggle but it would a disaster to relegate us.

I like how it's always "Newcastle are shit, they're going to get relegated, the fans think they're better than they are. Not a big club etc etc" then when we lose to a team like Leeds it's like "WOW! LEEDS BEAT A PREMIER LEAGUE SIDE! HOW MINT ARE THEY?!"

Even I don't think we'll go down but it's not beyond the realms of possibility given how reliant we are on key players in areas without much quality behind them.

A bad injury to either Colo, Tiote or Ba and I'd be worried, two of them are fucking off for a month as it is.

Short term Im more concerned about us taking an absolute thumping off Arsenal. Think it could get a bit messy as they always seem to start seasons strongly. Didn't they win 6-0 at Goodison on day one a few years back?

Call me a 'helmet' but offer no explanation as to where he is...

Absolutely no chance of us getting relegated, if we manage to get Tiote, Colo, Arfa and Marveaux on in several matches together, we'll clean up against half the wank in the league. We've got quality just not in abundance. I'd like to see Abeid, Vuckic, Tav and Ferguson come through for the first team, they've got speed, hunger, good ball control and are evidently far better than the likes of Raylor, Smith, Loven and a couple of others who manage to sneak into our lineup all too often. If only Pards would tell Shola and Loven to fuck off I'd rest a lot easier about the upcoming season. I'm feeling positive, these friendlies are pointless, I just hope the lads are up for it from the whistle against Arsenal

I'm more than happy to suggest that he isn't fit/is injured.

As with most team from 7th to 14th it'll be all about how they keep their top players together, I am annoyed we haven't seen more signings but we seen how having so much dead-wood affected a team like Villa last season, we need to do the same with Routledge, Xisco, Smith, Perch before we can get more players in sadly.  No way we will be in a relegation battle, I've seen much worse pre-seasons than this, though I would like to see our best 11 next weekend.

I'd be more than happy to suggest about the rivalry between Newcastle and Sunderland is something you do not have a fucking clue about, also you've been done over your 'knowledge' over the french league as well by a few on here.

We've had such a disjointed pre-season that i don't expect us to hit the ground running. But given the players we've brought in so far, and they're undoubtedly talented, HBA's return and the emergence of Vukic, I see no reason not to be optimistic for. The forthcoming season.

This season could be a good one but at the same time there's every chance it could turn into one long struggle. We've one decent right back, three centre halves and one left back who will almost certainly leave and be replaced with inferior quality. We've certainly added much needed guile and pace to the midfield but significant doubts about adapting to English football and questions over fitness. Options up front are significantly diminished compared to this time last season.
