L'Equipe: Modibo Maiga fails medical; transfer 'abandoned'

Recommended Posts

It's a bit of a short term view if we weren't going to sign him because he'd miss a month this season, the ANC is going to be in the summer after this seasons

Is it? Good news.

Hmmm I thought it had but after a quick google it looks like they are just talking about, hopefully that gets sorted

So here is the report from the Ligue 1 expert I talked about earlier...

STRENGTHS

- Extremely good on his head. A very good header of the ball.

- A target man.

- His shots are very hard. He shots "like a horse".

- His technique is both functional and worth seeing (attracting).

- Will get points (assists, goals).

WEAKNESS / NOT SO GOOD THINGS

- He has attitude problems.

- On the field he may sometimes have trouble controlling his emotions.

POSITIONS

- Can play in many different positions.

- Can be a poacher, like Inzaghi.

- He can play on the wing in the same role as Gervinho.

- But for the most of the time he plays like a target man in attack with 1 or 2 strikers. That is his best role.

- Not so very good on the right wing in a 4-4-2 formation.

OTHER

- He maybe could be a little bit more faster. Even though he doesn't lack pace.

- Not very consistent.

- A class player! (When he wants).

thanks for the info, he sounds like just what we need. Interesting to hear he's a target man type, could be lethal with Ba.

He's all left foot iirc... And not particularly quick...

Sochaux fans aren't happy  :D On the whole seem to rate him like.

We only wish that life will look after him across the Channel and can be ... De Jong and Barton broke his ankle on his return from the CAN.

It is a mercenary who wants their fortune in football unscrupulous. He pissed off to go to Le Mans Sochaux, he bored us to sign Newcastle, and will use the meem methods to Newcastle in a bar or two.

Still, it's a great striker ...

It has the best ratio goals / games in the last 10 years FCSM so yes it's a good player but so bad in the management of the transfer failed in Magpies

It is clear that it's still a great football player, even if the behavior, it leaves much to be desired.

By cons, he will whip hard to take the place of Demba Ba, not far from ten goal since the beginning of the season, with great regularity ...

If there was any doubt:

PhilippeAuclair Philippe Auclair

Newcastle fans: Maiga didn't train with Sochaux today and was thought to be still in London in the early afternoon. #doneanddusted
