For some reason I'm developing quite a hatred for QPR.

Lets hope we stuff them, we should be able to control this game & I'm expecting Ba to show what he can do.

Do you know how good is Taraabt for QPR ?

You could easily beat them tonight, but i really can see Barton injuring one of the NUFC players... (hope not of course)

He hasn't set the world alight this season. He doesn't have as much space in the Premier League but he has shown glimpses of his talent.

Barton will be fine, he isn't really a dangerous tackler any more.

QPR boss Neil Warnock has revealed exactly where he intends to play his new faces – including two slots for Joey Barton.

The manager made six signings in less than five days before the transfer window shut, and has taken the extraordinary step of all but naming his team before tonight’s home clash with Newcastle.

When Rs play 4-3-3, Barton will have a free role in the centre of midfield . When Warnock sticks with a more conservative 4-4-1-1, that is more likely to be the case when the player makes his Hoops debut against his old team, Barton will be on the right of midfield.

As for the rest, Luke Young will be at right back with Armand Traore on the other side of defence. Anton Ferdinand will partner Danny Gabbidon at centre-back, and Shaun Wright-Phillips will get a free role in midfield.

Warnock added: “I got a bit lucky with Anton and Danny. They both know each other from their West Ham days and it won’t take as long for them to gel as a pair had they been strangers.

“Was that in the back of my mind when I went for Anton? It was a bit of that, and it was also that we could actually get a class defender.”

DJ Campbell's virus that laid low the forward for the last three weeks could also see a debut for Jason Puncheon.

Warnock insists he will play Adel Taarabt in the same team as Barton, and with Ali Faurlin in mind – the Southampton winger may also slot into midfield on the right, with Campbell taking a place on the bench.

Shaun Derry’s reward for a sparkling start in the Premiership is an extended contract, and together with keeper Paddy Kenny and out-and-out forward Jay Bothroyd, Warnock was blending his new-look side in training this week with a special practice at Loftus Road on Thursday.

“I’ve always had a full-side practice match of around 70 minutes in these cases,” he explained. “I put the likely side against the rest and we stop-start the game to fine-tune stuff.”

Looks like Barton's starting on the right tonight :undecided:.

Would definitely fancy us to score looking at their defence though.

I've hated them ever since a certain Neil Warnock became their manager. Honestly can't stand the cunt.

Can't see Barton posing too many problems down the right, even Raylor should be comfortable with Jonas giving defensive support. In fact I think Barton will have his hands full just keeping Jonas in check so will probably sit pretty deep just like he did for us.

Taarabt is decent but he's not much of a team player, he needs to mature but for me he has too much of an ego for that to happen!

I think if Barton gets aggressive Pardew will know exactly how to get one of our players to wind him up & turn it to our advantage!

Hope so like but Barton being used in his best position could cause us problems as well imo. We'll see tonight.

Do you know how good is Taraabt for QPR ?

Taraabt has individual skill that is probably second to none in the league and has the unpredictability to go along with it.  He could turn up tomorrow and score the winner without breaking sweat.

But, his downfall is his near inability to work effectively in a team.  Tactically naive and doesn't really hold down a position when not in possession.  You will see a  handful of occasions tonight where he holds on to the ball for those few extra needless seconds.  Has shown signs of improvement over the last 2 seasons at QPR.  Still, far away from the incredibly ball greedy juggler who appeared a handful of times for Tottenham.

Always going to be a threat though.

I wouldn't go that far mind. He's good but there are more skillful players in the league than he is.

Barton isn't realy about giving the full-back or the winger problems tbh.

Indeed but we've seen that he can certainly influence play from the right. Depends on his mindset really, if he's fired up, he'll cause us problems but if he's too fired up and tries to do too much (like he did at Villa last season), it could go in our favour.

If he's being played on the right what will his role be then?

Probably exactly the same role as he played for us from that position.

Not the easiest to define is it?
