mrmojorisin75
Gibson and Chambers could be available for around £12 million each gibson?
Ankles Bennett
£40m for Sigurdsson is probably about right. He was involved in 20-odd goals for a poor team last season. Swansea would've almost certainly gone down without him so they'll value him very highly. They would probably be within their rights to ask for more than that when you consider what we got for that c*** Sissoko. No way is siggurdson worth £40m. You must be out of your mind to even suggest that. He's a good player but that's it. I would value him at £10m to £12m tops.

Mole_Toonfan
It's 2017 lads, catch up. Even in 2017 he won't go more than half that, i'll bet money on it.

Mole_Toonfan
Aye but it's Swansea( who i can't see holding out for ridiculous money), if he goes more than low 20s i'll be very surprised. Especially considering he's already failed to succeed at a big club. Having said that i wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't go at all.

He'll go for nearer that than £10 or £12 million tops, like. He's worth £40m in today's market, people need to catch up.
Mole_Toonfan
Well i obviously disagree with the 10-12m tops comment, i would be surprised if he went for more than low 20s though.
Guest firetotheworks
These things happen literally all the time. Considering his assist rate and dead ball proficiency, it wouldn't be in the least bit surprising to me, like.

rgk_lfc
Ibe went for 15 million last season. This season has gone more crazy. Siggurdson will go for 25 million comfortably.
54
If Sissoko is worth £30M, then Sigurdsson is worth £40M like.
Papavasiliou
It's not what he's worth it's what he's worth to that team. He pretty much kept them in the Prem himself last year. That alone makes him worth far more than £12mil to Swansea.

The £12m comment is still ridiculous though
TRon
If Sissoko is worth £30M, then Sigurdsson is worth £40M like. If they are the same age then I would agree. It does make a difference to a players value.

STM
Sigurdsson is worth about 24m IMO. Based on absolutely everything and nowt.
afar
I'm still of the opinion that I don't really care who he brings in as I thoroughly trust Rafa knows what he is looking for as long as the clear deficiencies in the squad are met. to me in order they are: number 10, DM, LW, LB, back up Striker and CB (although I still maintain the 4 we currently have can do a job for us). So far we have somewhat addressed the LW spot with Atsu and Aarons also returning from injury. We may have created another need also at RB since we lost Anita and Mbabu, we only have Yedlin and a player Rafa didn't really trust last year in Gamez and a youngster in Sterry. Rich
Would like to see us take a gamble on someone like Jose Izquierdo from Club Brugge. Sure we must be aware of him given our business in Belgium over the last couple of seasons. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jose-izquierdo/profil/spieler/147094 Right-footed left-winger is a must this summer. Getting one who is quick, direct and has an eye for goal would be splendid (plus he'd be within our budget). Work permit potentially an issue, though. Interesting mention of him in this article from the guy who was in charge of transfers at Brentford - http://statsbomb.com/2017/06/more-statistical-transfer-shopping-wide-forwards-for-the-champions-league/ Article discusses who Arsenal should be looking at and mentions him.
