WarrenBartonCentrePartin
If we're going to take the cups seriously, we'll need signings. Preferably ones that will, what was it? Blow our socks off?

ExiledGeordie
That Oliver piece is the usual shit All people have to do is look back over the last God knows how many years to see the lies, cock ups and pathetic attempts to con the fans into thinking the board/Ashley actually give a shit. morla84
Propaganda like this should galvanise efforts really it shows it might make a difference. You almost get the feeling he thinks we should be grateful to him for letting us attempt to win a cup. Decent article: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/newcastle-fans-every-right-angry-5546680
Guest chopey
Hit the nail on the head with the quote about Ashley surrounding himself with people who are grateful to him and actually need a job I just wish the supa fans would wake up a realise that Ashley needs us a he'll of a lot more than we need him and boycott vote at end of the article still shows a disturbing 34% support Ashley
Peppe
This whole "going to be major investment on players on the summer" is fucking annoying. No there won't. And there's a difference between spending to get enough first team players to register a squad (because you've sold off everyone) and spending to strengthen the team to compete you complete mong. Edit: The mong part was for Anal Oliver, if that was unclear

There is much ignorance out there with many believing that Ashley has done a good job and that us fans should know our place. How dare we be unhappy? themanupstairs
Wait a minute. Prioritize the cups OVER the league? Who the fuck has asked for that? Why do we need a blanket prioritization of one thing over another? So does it mean we'll not try as hard in the league, but dry our damn hardest in the cup? What the fuck is that? Assemble a squad in a sensible logical way, hire a manager with an actual personality and some footballing knowledge, and try your damn best to win every game you're pencilled in for. Fuck's sake! cp40
it will just be talk anyway- say they will prioritize the cups- send out a 'strong' side- mysteriously always lose anyway

Mattoon
It's all bluster, why, when the consensus of opinion at the top is that playing in the cups is dangerous to our league position, would he suddenly change his mind when we're not mathematically safe, struggling at the bottom of the table, after dropping out both cups?? Clearly rattled and it's all just pillow talk. The problem is, like most have said, the ones against the protest and the ones teetering on the edge of a decision will see this as a rod to strike pro-protest with. SEE he does care! WarrenBartonCentrePartin
Sunday Supplement is always tragic, man. It's the same faces week in, week out who work for nationals but don't cover clubs in one particular part of the country and so therefore have no idea what's really going on. I think Henry Winter is the only one that's ever on there with a modicum of common sense.

NG32
It might not turn out a bad idea to have bought nufc in the long run and plastering his SD company all over the stadium. Your general customer at SD isn't bothered about the company and what it does. Fans of a football club care a whole lot more. Buying NUFC and running it the way he has, has brought him big rewards but will also bring him unwanted attention especailly since everyone involved in the media has realised what he has been upto with NUFC.
