It's interesting, because it might hopefully encourage him to sell NUFC, if he wants to keep his interest in Rangers. More likely is that he will have to tear up the Rangers stuff and keep NUFC. :(

The Football League won't kick Newcastle out - we will bring them too much revenue and exposure.

It's the most blatant of scaremongering. There's no way in hell that they'd throw Newcastle United out of the Football League.

Despite the fact everyone will spend the next 12 months saying how much they hate NUFC and how much we think we're better than we are, we'll boost attendances across the Championship, sell out every away allocation and bring the league so much revenue and exposure as a result.

They probably won't even make him sell his Rangers stuff. The whole FFP/ownership rules thing is smoke and mirrors. Money talks.

What was the situation then with Watford with their owners owning multiple clubs across Europe?  Also didn't Charlton's owner used to own Standard Liege as well.

The same people own Udinese, Watford and Granada.

Only covers UK clubs.

Surprised it's any different. Same country I could understand but I don't see any difference if we're from different FAs.

The article even says that the football league allow individuals to hold up to 10% of another club (providing it's investment only and not controlling) and Ashley has just over 8%. As Ashley has had his men kicked off the board then there is no reason to suggest that he has any control of Rangers. The article is purely written to sell to Rangers fans who want him gone.

We've went from trying to compete near the top of the league, to top 10, to just 'The very top flight of English football'.

We're still following the Aston Villa model very closely.

Some might say we've mastered it.

Says literally nothing.

Was my exact thoughts

Its only purpose will be if someone accuses him in the future of not communicating with the fans, he'll point to that pointless statement which won't have been written by him
