Reports this morning that Sp*rts Direct are to change their working practices, following the recent Parliamentary intervention...

This following the apparent changes in approach at NUFC, too...

Seems like Mike Ashley may have had something of an epiphany??!!!

Or more like he's finally been found out on all sides, and realises it may be last chance saloon??

Whatever it is, lets hope it continues, and he doesn't revert to type.

Not much will change, and what little has he has been forced into no epiphany or road to Damascus moment. Zero hour contracts replaced by guaranteed 4 hour contracts for retail staff the warehouse will remain pretty much the same though they may employ a nurse to cut down on recordable ambulance calls.

30 seconds to make the banner, 10 seconds to draw it.  I love the fact he appears to have a line of piss down his right leg

Sweating like a rapist there...

From the AGM

Standard Life, the shareholder in biggest Sports Direct shareholder after Mr Ashley, voted against reappointing the company's non-executive directors - and the company's proposed pay deal for management.

Euan Stirling, the investment giant's head of stewardship, said responses to its inquiries 'have been either unconvincing or non-existent'.

'Tight cost control can be an attractive feature of a business. However, taken too far, and with a focus on the short term, it can and does result in the starvation of investment in talent, facilities and infrastructure which can leave a business vulnerable to its competitors and its own weaknesses.'

He could be taking about NUFC...
