Krul Danny Willi Colo Santon Tiote Cabaye Jonas HBA Cisse Ba Can Jonas play in central midfield? if he can then i totally agree with your line up although i reckon Ba is more likely to be outwide than Cisse. That's the line up I would've picked. For the small amount of goals and assists Jonas gets I'd rather see him operating in a more defensive role, which he's excelled at this season. That gives us a great midfield three who have a great work rate and are all good passers and ball winners and that forward three looks immense That was kind of my thought...............we aren't really the type of side who whip balls into the box from traditional wingers and hopefully the attacking fullbacks would be able to press the defending fullbacks if we get Santon MK2 for the other side. Guest magnet Posted January 17, 2012 Share Posted January 17, 2012 I love Jonas, but his end product at times can be really really frustrating. I've lost count of the amount of times he's played a cross too early or he's held on to it for too long and lost it plus his shooting leaves a lot to be desired, but when he does score it's usually something special and worth waiting for. He'll run and run all day though and you can tell he's totally committed to the cause and with the way this season he's shown he can protect whoever is playing at left back I think he'd be better suited to playing on the left of a three who look to just win the ball and play in that front three with Ben Arfa in a free role behind the front two Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

But then again, i am no expert True about it being too narrow mind you Ben Arfa and Jonas can easily dift out to the wing to create width it would be a very fluent system imo. If you were playing against them you would have to try and stop the supply at all costs because it is lethal. Tiresias Posted January 17, 2012 Share Posted January 17, 2012 Looking at our squad-sheet now, how far my opinion has come on since the start of the season is staggering. I remember thinking without Nolan and Barton we were thin and relying on unproven players. Now I look at the squad and think we have a very decent, young team with plenty of industry but also flair.
