The other games today - 2011/12

Recommended Posts

Reading are now level on points with West Ham.

I hope they go up instead of West Ham.

West Ham dropping down into the playoffs (and subsequently, losing in the semi-final/final) would be a really funny thing to see.

Can't get that excited about good results around us given our recent performances and results. We need at least a point on Monday.

Depends on what we're aiming for. Top 4-5, and yeah we need a draw, top 6 and a defeat won't do much damage.

We're "aiming" to finish as high as possible aren't we?

Well yeah, but for top 6, the results today have been brilliant regardless of Monday's result. For higher up you could say it's been bad given that Chelsea won.

Reminds me of 03-04 that. Everyone else seemed desperate to make sure we finished 4th.

Goodison Park has acclaimed a new darling, apparently.

I remember one of Neil Mellor's first games for Liverpool in a Carling Cup game on Sky, and Alan Parry I think it was, saying after his first goal, "Liverpool have found a new goal machine".

Why has Bale started playing anywhere but on the left wing? He's clearly not as effective in other positions.

He is scared of the mighty Phil Neville after the last time he went up against him

What has happened to Tim Cahill?  Was he always this crap and just overachieved for a few seasons?

He's always been fairly average, but used to score more goals. Everton's Kevin Nolan.

EDIT: NEIL, is that a fair comment?
