sempuki
We are a bit short of central midfielders tbf. It says competition for Jonas. Not sure he is of the calibre we need.

Cajun
We are a bit short of central midfielders tbf. It says competition for Jonas. Not sure he is of the calibre we need. He doesn't seem like a Jonas like player, the fact he scores goals already puts that one to bed. Also he isn't a winger is he? So we already have competition for Jonas in Anita, Marveaux and Bigiramana if we are talking through the middle/in a midfield 3. Odd one. Edit: twat. Cajun
Sooo.. he's a left winger. Decent enough goal to game ratio. Not really sure how good he is apart from said Fantasy Football record. We could do with more competition on the wings.
sempuki
"Pilkington" is not really a name you would associate with a footballer and reminds me of his namesake Karl. Getting close to July so hopefully we might get someone in soon.

Gallowgate Toon
Pilkington's canny enough, not a starter but as back up. Far more productive than the likes of Jonas.
Belfast Mags
He's not bad, surely? Has looked tidy anytime I've seen him (admittedly that's not a lot)
LRD
Re: Zouma, it might not be a bad idea going for him. He's young, has potential and offers steel to our defence. Taylor is injury-prone. Colo might still go homesick at some stage. We need cover at RB now that Simpson has left and don't have enough versatile defenders in our squad. Debuchy, Colo, Taylor, Zouma, MYM (covers at RB), Santon (covers at RB), Haidara. I'll be happy with that for our defence. The only concern is that it takes away from the budget we need for other key areas.
jdckelly
Pilkington seems a good player to me, we've bought worse than him in the past than him anyway. Has a curious habit of managing to get injured for internationals when Trap wants to call him up for Ireland.

If we do get him which i find highly unlikely.... i think the idea is keep Coloccini for one more year get the likes of MYM and Zouma to learn off him and then the both of them can be our CBs as they are both very different. Obviously Taylor is there as 3rd choice if they both develop the way people think they should. But yeah i would be shocked if we signed him.
Guest chopey
Terry or Vidic would add steel to our defence, I doubt an 18 year old who has never been anywhere near the premier league could do the same no matter how good he may turn out
LRD
I have to say it's all relative. Colo and MYM aren't the most physical of defenders, relying instead on a good reading of the game. Saylor while being the most hardened of the 3 has injury concerns. Zouma may not be Terry or Vidic levels but his physical game still brings much needed steel to our defence. Even Bassong in his first year had his moments.
