He does a lot of good defensive work, he's a reasonable stand-in left back, he holds on to the ball and gets us some free kicks, and he puts his heart into the cause. Given the choice I'd much rather just keep Cisse (I think it's one of the two) but that depends on the Wonga dispute. We really need that sorting out one way or another ASAP. We absolutely can't be going into the season potentially starting Shola because the Cisse issue is still unresolved and we're playing our usual style of hardball on the transfer fees we'll pay. There is seemingly a lack of interest for him elsewhere. We'll just wait it out. Bonus of saving on those weeks of wages if we delay signing him too.
