Gouffran is better than Shola.

 

Not at scoring goals by the look of it.  Think he is a tidy player, but i don't think he would grab you 10+ goals.

Id play gouffran up fron over shola any time of the week.  hes never been played in his prefered position and is almost always subbed on 70 minutes.  He gets little serive and is basically being asked to chase balls down on the flanks.

How many games has he played upfront for us?

 

do you think he could fill in as a forward and score us goals regularly throughout the season though?I like gouffran, I think he has a lot to offer, I just don't see him as a regular goalscorer.

Believe he could score 10-15 goals with good service which hopefully the two new flair players that are coming soon could provide.

We have 3 strikers capable of scoring in my opinion, but no creativity or at least very little.

 

Add some flair to the team and the strikers we have will look a lot better IMO.

 

Shola Ameobi is our 2nd choice striker at the moment.

So Remy and Gouffran are not strikers then? I do find it funny, people claim Cisse would perform if he was given more service and width.

 

Yet when you offer them the idea of more width and creativity it is rejected out of the hand with the response usually being... NO MOAR STRIKERS THAT WILL SOLVE IT ALL.

 

Unless you add creativity and width to this team having strikers is a waste of time because they will never get any chances.

BBC Sport's Saj Chowdhury: "Demba Ba's agent Alex Gontran tells BBC Sport the 28-year-old Chelsea striker would like to stay at Stamford Bridge this season and fight for his place. Competition for places in the Blues attack is set to increase with the imminent arrival of Cameroon forward Samuel Eto'o from Anzhi Makhachkala.

 

"Eto'o's arrival means that Chelsea's forward line-up will consist of Ba, Fernando Torres and Romelu Lukaku, while German Andre Schurrle can also play in that position. Gontran also dismissed Ba returning to former club Newcastle."
