Danny Graham would be the definition of a desperation signing.

 

Having sold Ba we are a striker short. As desperation signings go we could do worse considering the manager we have in charge here. It's no coincidence the other manager supposedly interested is Martin O'Neill.

A 10x better option than Shola, who apart from 1 league sub appearance has looked utterly woeful in the league.

 

Also it would had offered different options upfront.  Who's to say that replacement couldn't had been a winger / striker as well.

You did when you mentioned a replacement for Best. If you'd said a winger/forward then it would be a different discussion.
