Oh dear...............................

But I thought they were "light years" ahead of us......................................

We have the better players, but they have a better manager apparently.........................................

They would be claiming both had not just been beaten 4-0 at West Brom.

Imagine this before the internet and locals shouting at each other from one river bank to the other (obviously I'm using Mackem history where Gateshead belonged to Sunderland).

I’ve never been to sunderland, 2 lads from Switzerland which I met in Newcastle went to sunderland,

yer know, they were like: “Were tourists and we have to take the opportunity to check it out, it’s just a short cheap trip down there”

Met them the next day in Newcastle and asked them how the trip was:

“Sunderland is a shithole! Nothing to do down there, looks old and dirty, and they call that a beach?? We left about after an hour, not worth the money”

They really liked Newcastle, even said they felt safe all the time, not like in sunderland haha.

One more for you lads, they also went to the San Siro to watch some matches.

They were at the Nufc – Swansea match, comments after the match:

“Bad they didn’t score, seeing SJP explode would be amazing”

“You know, SJP was louder than the San Siro, there they just sit and take pictures, in SJP you got a lot more atmosphere”

Sorry for the bad english but its Fasnacht time and beer & schnaps flows throuhg me body!

I think we get better crowds than both the Milan clubs on average.

They fill the ground for big games but that's about it.

Heard the craic back in the day was that rival fans used to ring each others pubs and wind each other up.

Would love to see what pre-internet trolls were like. Going into rival pubs in an overcoat and comedy moustache.
