“It was a really great season. And of course that’s something that we want to emulate.

“I think it sets a healthy benchmark and we have to rise to it, it’s as simple as that.

“Newcastle did exceptionally well, and that is something we should aspire to – and I’m sure we do.

That'll go down well.

Forget the league, forget the cup. Just beat those black and white kernts. LOL.

He really is a mackem

This time, its not Sbragia!!

Reclaiming the word Geordie and our support

as time ticks on and history evolves our support, can sunderland reclaim the geordie support we are losing thanks to the self proclamation of the geordie nation by them up the road.

is it a lost battle ? or can the tide be turned?

seems a shame that vast swathes of north east people are lost to our future support thanks to a few rags like the chronicle and people like ant and dec

even our current geordie supporters must feel marginalised by the negative connotations of the word now amongst the safc support

Well said MON.

Under gravy blood the Mag was teeated as the Atilla of the East to these blighted western parts.

Napoleon met his match in Russia and as a keen scholar of the liberal Arts I have no doubts that MON is quietly plotting the downfall of the tyrant.

They have McClean and Sess though, not sure where Neymar would fit in?

But they weren't overly impressed with Bendnter and Campbell is struggling. Deffo think he would be slotted in up top depending on the fitness and form of Wickham.

"I always come back to the way Barcelona play,” said O’Neill when asked what he would like his Sunderland team to represent. “It’s a long way in the future, but you’d love to keep that in the back of your mind and think you could eventually have a team that could come out and play like that"

Get killed you arsehole

Such an efficient way to use the english language.

Should be a T-shirt slogan.

It's definitely up there with 'Watch your letterbox'.
