It amazes me really. Wolves were the worst team by a long mile in the PL last season and they were pretty near the worst the previous year. Yet they are about to recieve 14 million for one player and want upwards of 10 million for aother, not sure how much kightly went to Stoke for but if that's what 30 million pounds or so buys you these days, the game's gone crazy.

Dear Sir Alex:

I don't know if you remember me, but I manage a small club in the north east. Our teams have played each other from time to time.

I'm writing to make you an offer I think you'll find really attractive. I have convinced my club to pay yours £14.000.000 for Darren Fletcher. All you need to do is tell people you think I should be Manchester United's next manager!

I think I'm a really great manager and bet you'll think so too!

I look forward to doing business with you.

Thanks,

Marty O'Neill

P.S. Did you know I managed at team in Scotland. That's where you're from!

Sunderland defender Phil Bardsley to miss start of the season following ankle surgery. More on #SSN.

Still better than Sanshit even with a broken ankle , ftm.

Already our bad luck has started while the Mags get lucky again and have no injuries, plus they haven't played anyone yet. 1-9 FTM

Some times I think Sunderland should create a cheesy chips version of Wonka's chocolate factory to lure potential new signings in.

I think they already have, it's called 'The Bridges'. Though last time I was there they must've had some sort of admin cock-up, as there were about 25,000 Augustus Gloops and no sign of the other characters....

I was looking at the board yesterday, and they're slowly asking the questions that Brummie has been answering on here for ages. Plus the Heskey fear. It's grim.

If Sunderland were on as much as Newcastle were in 2005, I'd be posting over there. :scared:

Anyway, Fletcher will make them better, silly money obviously but he's a good player.

Hope the Ward thing comes through for them too, seen him play a dozen or so times for Ireland and still have no idea if he's left or right footed.

no you wouldn't. you'd have looked at the history and how much their board revolves around us, then you'd have look in here to see what knackers we are (according to them), realised they get angry and rant while we take the piss and laugh at them, then you'd have came over to this side. different route but same destination.

Plus people would've taken the piss about you being a reformed mackem much more than a reformed scouser.
