Yet we dont sign players over 26 so it shouldnt frustrate you at all. Its what is to be expected of us. Why 90% sure, why not 100% if your 'man in the know' is all that hes cracked up to be?

I'm never 100% over anything in life man, nothing is certain until its certain and all that, things can happen.

It may well be what is "expected" of us to not go for these players but it still pisses me off. Don't care what anyone says, Johnson, Dempsey and Fletcher would comfortably improve us like.

Johnson would get in our 1st eleven down the left, the other two aren't a patch on what we have already imo. Not worried in the slightest about who sunderland sign, as the fear always takes over them when they face us.

I never said they wouldnt improve us overall. If we could of got Flecther for 5-6 mil i would of definately considered it considering its shola as 3rd choice at the minute, Same for Johnson and Dempsey, if the fees were reasonable then by all means go for it. But 14mil and 10 for those two is way over the odds.

Would rather have Ba that Johnson down the left,  Ba has become very underrated again and Johnson very overrated in any position other than the one he does well in.

If we weren't playing a 4-4-2 of course.

Johnson is good but he was made to look that much better in a strong title winning side.  Be interesting how he copes in mongsville

Would probably then prefer Jonas, Johnson has only ever looked good when he can cut in (imo) and Jonas being a more defensive/hard working player allows over more attacking players a bit more freedom.

Johnson would have been handy for a 4-3-3, we only have Ba/Cisse/Ben Arfa/Shola/Obertan who could fit into the front 3 in that system.

Not sure I buy into the idea that Johnson couldn't play on the left either, I think if you had him and HBA either side of Ba/Cisse switching wings then it would work very well.

That's settled then, he's shite!

When did I say he was shite? ??? I think he is very good but not as good as Ben Arfa and he plays in Ben Arfa's position.

I think it would be pointless playing Ben Arfa on the left too even if he could do a job swapping there for limited periods of a game.

Why does everything get twisted on here?

He crossed my mind but I actually think he'd be a lot better in the midfield 3, not sure he could play that far forward.  Who knows though.

Who the f*ck buys into this shit?

Just played in a golf comp at the Ramside today and were paired with a couple of Mags (ASDA season ticket holders, who were pretty genuine, tbf, for mags anyhow!).

To say they are absolutely shitting themselves is an understatement! They can't believe we've signed AJ, and are panicking 'cos we're still linked with more quality, Dempsey, Defoe, Dawson, etc. They were saying that now we've got AJ, we have shown we can sign any of the other players we are after?!! They're also cacking it, as they think that Fat Ashley is going to cash in on Tiote & Cabaye (banking the dosh)

"I say old chum, I can't believe you've signed AJ, and I'm panicking with regards to the quality of which you're still linked. In fact, now you've got AJ you have shown you can sign any of the players you're after. I must add that i'm extremely worried because I can see Ashley banking the dosh on Tiote and Cabaye (neither of whom you rate, of that I'm clear)....in fact 'worried' isn't sufficient to describe my distress, I believe I'm 'cacking it'.  Shall I tee off?"
