Wullie
Absolutely made up about this news tbh. Really was expecting the bad news at any moment on Saturday night, to have him speaking by Monday is absolutely amazing. The job the medical staff did on the pitch was just sensational. TRon
Can't believe it. I'd given up after reading stuff about his chances in the rags today. Fingers crossed.
leffe186
God I hope he pulls through. Apparently there was a Spurs fan at the game who is a cardiologist at the London Chest Hospital and ran onto the pitch. http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/309080 been posted, apparently he wasnt allowed on to the pitch Really? Not what we heard. Stewards allowed him on and he accompanied the guy to the hospital. Edit: Apologies, read the thread now, print the legend I guess! Pandamninator
Great news. Him being an athlete and super fit might have helped him win this fight, that and the incredible efforts of the doctors. Wouldn't surprise me if him being an athlete running around at full tilt for 90 minutes a week twice a week (plus training the other 5) helped trigger the whole thing, but at the same time being an athlete meant he could pull through like it looks like he is doing. The human body is a funny thing at times.

The fact he is a young athlete is one of the reasons he took bad. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypertrophic_cardiomyopathy

Was going to post what MW said as well. But it seems like two different people, and that article actually has a picture of said fan on the pitch instructing them. Seems to be true. jukeboxromeo
Muamba and Coyle had a brief conversation in hospital - Fab was probably offering Owen some tactical advice for the match against Blackburn.
ScottishMagpie
Great news about his improving condition. Pray it continues. On a side point.....I'm surprised the southern press boys haven't played an angle that it was being in the same proximity to Harry Redknapp (aka the second coming) that save the lads life. Sho Time
I wouldn't be happy yet. Not after seeing Antonio Puerta walking away from the pitch after his first episode. Not after seeing people die in hospitals quickly after they "recovered". Still, this is the most encouraging news one could expect to hear after the images of him laying unconscious on the WHL pitch flashed around the world Saturday. Depending on what his condition was, he still may need heart transplant or any other number of operations to ensure he can lead a fruitful life. The journey is only starting. My prayers remain with him and those closest. Agree with this completely. Best wishes to Muamba though, I hope to God he makes a recovery.
Super Duper Branko Strupar
Muamba and Coyle had a brief conversation in hospital - Fab was probably offering Owen some tactical advice for the match against Blackburn. Class. Good to hear he has creative function of his brain as well and so soon after. EDIT: Ah, just seen the 'probably'.

Guest Loven11
Family pal Aime Esalo told how the 23-year-old was asked by his dad Marcel if he knew who he was as he came round. Mr Esalo said: "Fabrice said yes, and the next thing he asked was: 'Did we lose?' "When he was told they were drawing, Fabrice asked why they had stopped the game and his father said, 'Because of you'." Mr Esalo said Muamba had also asked for his fiancee Shauna and their three-year-old son Joshua. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/4205926/Fabrice-Muamba-asks-Did-we-lose.html
