The other games today - 2011/12

Recommended Posts

Half hearted players, half hearted supporters, half hearted protests, half hearted pitch invasion.

Such a limp club.

Definitely deserved to go down. Hope it gives Kean (and the fans) a massive reality check. The fans' "support" has been disgraceful really, they played a part in Blackburn's downfall as much as the players and manager.

So Shearer has himself a management job lined up..

Nah, Blackburn would be stupid to go for Shearer.

Agreed about the fans.  The board should have realized that the fans had turned and were not going to change their minds a long time ago and replaced Kean.

"That youngster is too young to remember when Blackburn were Champions of the Premier League, now they are heading for the Championship."

He's a Wigan fan you muppet.

So? Still a valid remark.

Kean might have had more of chance if the fans didn't boo him all game.

The guy is completely deluded.

 Lost count of how many times I've said it. There's a point where you put it aside and back the football team up and forget the board.

Blackburn's record for the last 17 months under Kean has been atrocious and would had got him the sack at any other club.

They couldn't afford to sack him never mind afford to appoint a new manager.

They've already got someone who can relegate a team - why look for another?

So, that wasn't my point. He hardly stood a chance with the abuse he got. Venky's should never have sacked Fat Sam, but having your own fans berate you makes it seriously hard for any team. I mean, they booed Yakubu for a game for celebrating a goal with Keane. They are at fault as much as Keane is.

I thought they gave him a new contract?

They did, then weeks later stated they couldn't afford a managerial change.

Yup. Went a step further than the 'vote of confidence' and tied him down to prove their commitment.
