Skeletor
New quotes from Debuchy: "The LOSC wants to find my replacement before I release. Ten, fifteen players have been suggested and it still does not. There must be a little goodwill. It disappoints me and it bothers me. Sifu
Seriously though, the longer this drags on, the less likely we'll sign Debuchy. This transfer window has been quite annoying, good ol' summer time.

Skeletor
Seems like Lille have really taken the piss and their relationship with Debuchy is beyond repair. Can't be long before they give in.
SteveMc
It'll happen soon enough, He wants to come, they know it and are just being mardy
Ikon
I think they'll sign Bosingwa and we pay a bit more and that's it, it's done.

This transfer window has been quite annoying, good ol' summer time. Really? Think it's only a matter of time. It feels as if we're going in circles. One day it's "close to agreeing fee with Lille/terms agreed with Debuchy" but then another it's "Debuchy staying put for now."
Guest
I think this one has been wrapped up for ages tbh, since Pardew made reference to him on that radio talk-in. Don't think he would have said that if he hadn't been cock sure of this happening.
nuneaton
my only concern is they will drag this on til the window closes
Klaus
Even though Lille say they want a replacement for Debuchy before they sell him, i do not think they would be prepared to keep a player who clearly wants to leave. There is still plenty of the transfer window left, i think they are just dragging it out in the hope they find a replacement in time, however i think he will leave eventually even if they don't find one. Skeletor
Quote from Rudi Garcia after their friendly last night: http://www.rmcsport.fr/editorial/282654/garcia-debuchy-est-un-joueur-important/ "He could not play more than 30 minutes. Obviously I'd rather keep him but whatever happens, he must be ready" Garcia said. "We have a deadline of August 15th for the French season. I hope he will still be with us for the start in Saint-Etienne and if it is not the case, that means we will have found a suitable replacement. We saw tonight that he is still an important player for the team. "

joeyt
Don't think he was arguing they weren't playing against St Etienne first?
Tiotes Witch Doctor
Makes me feel like smashing things to pieces this bloody transfer saga, but I'm not a mackem so I probably wont.
BeloEmre
Don't think he was arguing they weren't playing against St Etienne first? What is he arguing about at all? . How is it that a manager wants to keep his best player?
joeyt
I think he was facepalming the fact that there doesnt seem to be much progress according to their manager and expects him to be in the team at the start of the season
Dinho lad
No, he's facepalming the fact that the manager still wants to keep a player that is obviously desperately wants to leave.
