AyeDubbleYoo
I think the lack of movement is a reason to persevere with the likes of Marveaux and Anita. At least they're players who seem to understand how to play basic passing football.
ujpest doza
still hasn't actually played in his position for us yet. Which is where? He's been CM, RB and LB.
Gallowgate Toon
still hasn't actually played in his position for us yet. Which is where? He's been CM, RB and LB. He's a defensive midfielder, think Makelele.
Mistle17
Looks like a really good player, you can see he's a product of the Ajax academy- very well groomed technically...he's an intelligent player. It's very hard to judge him in games where we are constantly outnumbered, though. Why wasn't Bigirimana holding with him last night? We got completely overrun (again) in the second half, Anita's been trying to do the work of two men in the last few games. He's come from a football environment where tactics such as Pardew's are alien to him, you can see the lack of movement from our team doesn't suit his ability and what he has to offer us. I really like him as a player and hope that we soon find a system that accommodates players like Vernon; under the right manager he could flourish. And for me, when people were bemoaning his signing saying we didn't need him: of course we did, we just needed to bolster our defensive ranks as well but failed miserably to do that. That's not his fault, that's Mike Ashley's fault for refusing to acknowledge the fact that to compete at the top domestically and in European competition he's got to spend money. It's shit, but the way football is nowadays it's incredibly difficult to compete when your sole aim is to balance the books.
Ketsbaia
I still like Anita. I'm starting to see why people don't but as a lad raised on nice football at Ajax, he's been thrust into this team. He'd be fine in the 4-3-3 we all know should exist, just not in 'hoofball with midgets'.
themanupstairs
Had his best spell in our colours last night, and then got taken off. Should have scored. I like him.

KaKa
Will be moved on to Fulham in the summer, as he won't be considered good enough to play our expansive football. Will then go on to become the best midfielder in the league before moving on to Real or Barcelona to become one of the finest in the world.
binnsy
promising signs against Southampton and probably had his best game for us, wouldn't be playing him at Stoke though against there giants, bring in Perch and keep Anita for the Wigan game. STM
Yes that makes sense, let's drop him as he hits form. Was impressed by him yesterday.
Stuy_O
Encouraging that he could sense what was going on and was alone in trying to rectify it. Had an element of 'scruff of the neck' about it. Crazy for Pardew to bring him off when Jonas was totally out the game.
KaKa
Imagine coming up in the Ajax Academy. It's the only football he's ever known. All of a sudden he's thrust into our team. The club actually sold the move to this guy by telling him the team played passing football. How embarrassing.
ponsaelius
I feel sorry for him that he's been sold a lie on our football.

TherealnorthernTOON
Was good today imo. But showed he ain't no offensive midfielder. Was more often then not open for a pass and was making good runs all the time. Shows he got that pass and move into his blood. Think tiote came more to his right in that SM bonecrusher mode with perch behind him tbf. doesn't have to worry all that about the tactical thing, wich doesn't seem like beeing his type of game anyway. He did well in adding that steel to our midfield, just get cabaye in the offensive role and anita back where he belongs in the DM role allowed to push forward and I really think the midfield can become good.
