triggs
We'll never get a decent objective debate on Vurnon, suspect it's more about the style of play that people appreciate. What style of play? He can pass the ball well over 5 yards but the minute he tries anything difficult it goes straight to the other team. Don't think he'd get a game for any other team in the league. You and others always peddle this shite about people not appreciating him or not understanding what he does or "he'd look better in a passing team". What I see when I watch him is someone who can't do anything particularly well. So what is it that you see in him?

High Five o
There's no point in going though this again. Don't think I've ever heard anyone give a decent argument about why he's a good player like Ajax academy. Dutch international. "Technical". There is a good player there, no doubt about it imo. However, he was not good yesterday, so sloppy passing. Part of this is maybe a lack of match fitness. For the role he plays, he is just to lightweight. Its not the lack of size or weight, but how effectively he uses size, and how he reads the game. He is almost the same size as Kante, but fuck me there is a difference in the way they use their body and time the interceptions. Not sure he have a future in the PL mind. At least he have to improve the movement and reading of the game.
The College Dropout
Kante plays like he's on PED's. It's unbelievable to watch. Not only does he break play up he actually drives the team forward too.
MyPalAl
Thought he did well when he came on today. I will probably get shot down with shit, but I prefer him right back to Janmaat, I don't think he is as much of a liability.
Ashley17
Whenever he ends up at right back it's normally when we're chasing the game and not actually doing any defending. Can't remember him starting there too many times to say if he's any better or worse than Janmaat

The only time I saw him start there he actually did pretty well. Janmaat's a tit but at least he can chase back to cover his mistakes, Colback looks like he's on smack. TRon
The left side was massively exposed. He's not a left back and it showed. I don't really see the point in having a go at Anita when he's playing out of position thanks to our policy of hoping our plethora of mediocre left backs won't spend half the season on the treatment table. Hanshithispantz
He's usually looked fine at RB but that was probobaly the single worst individual performance I can remember yesterday. Jarvis completely destroyed him.
Disco
Should've put Mbemba full back instead of being a carcrash in the centre. Keep the chuckle brothers at CB.

This, it really should had been Mbemba LB or Sissoko there. 9 fucking players have played at LB this season.

Colback isn't a left back either but he got slated for his performance there (justifiably so). Anita has been a total non entity since we signed him and when he has started games he's nearly always hooked before the end.
Guest neesy111
It's no wonder we concede so many goals from set pieces as we give away a stupid amount of freekicks from all positions.

Pity he's shite in his actual position too Yeah by all means slate him as a midfielder since that's what his actual job description is, but that's not where he was playing yesterday. If we are talking in general terms then he is one of a number of central midfielders we have bought through Carr who aren't physically capable of imposing themselves in the premier league alongside Colback and seemingly Saivet. Marmoset
I'm not sad enough to actually go looking for a quote but come on, you must've said something negative about Colback as a left back at some point, it's exactly the same in that they started at lb and then we're moved to the centre. He's just not very good.

He's just not very good. I have said negative stuff about Colback as a left back, but when he's played there he's generally been well protected, either by the midfielder in front of him or Coloccini who comes out of central defence and closes any space. Yesterday Anita was often left isolated with no cover either side. With their physiques I don't think you can have either Colback or Anita given sole defensive responsibilities either in midfield or defence, and I've said this plenty of times previously. toontownman
Anita has looked iffy there in the past. Mixed bag. Leftback has been an issue all year and was the year before. We had something good going down the right with sissoko and Janmaat. Not ideal but reasonably effective. The problem is that became our only attacking outlet. We still lack through the middle but especially down the left. Sissoko playing at LB and to a point Aarons are the only times we have seen some attacking intent that comes close to matching the right. Obviously neither the left, right or centre works at the moment.
