This Barcelona team are widely regarded as the best team of all time. They should be starting a 2 legged tie against anyone as favourites.

If you have seen Bayern lately you wouldn't be saying that. I've been far more impressed by Bayern this season than by Barcelona. Bayern will see as much of the ball as Barcelona, and if you see how Bayern set up you will see their wingers and Kroos/Muller will force the Barcelona back four to play deep, and that way you won't see Alba and Dani having as much freedom by the flanks.

If there is two teams that can beat Barcelona over a two-leg tie it's definitely this years Bayern and Real Madrid because of their rivalry. Schweinsteiger and Martinez are also too smart to follow into the trap of pressing to much on the midfielders who are to skilled to be pressed on, you just have to make sure they can play the ball through the middle to Messi, who will then fall back to get the ball.

With that said, I can definitely see Barcelona win tomorrow, I just think Bayern is the favourite for this tie.

Bayern will do barca.

I think so too. Think it'll be comfortable for Bayern.

What a ridiculous thing to say, of course it won't be comfortable for them

I do think Bayern are slight favourites to go through, but it sure as hell won't be easy for them.

Swedish games tonight, I'd say Malmö and Elfsborg are good bets. While Elfsborg haven't started this season well at all (four draws in their opening four games), they are good at the plastic pitch at home and Djurgården have been very poor this season. Malmö were pretty rubbish against us last week, but managed to luck their way to a win anyway, and at home I reckon they should be too good for Öster.

As for the other two games tonight, I really can't say either way. We were great against Malmö and should have won but for a wrongly disallowed goal, and we are due a win this season, but I'm not confident it'll come tonight though. Don't know enough about either Syrianska or Norrköping to say either way tbh.

Both won 2-0 and from the sounds of it, dominated their games.

 I read that and put £10 on a double. Returned £25. Thanks.

Can get 14/5 on Barca tonight.

When was the last time they were such long odds to win a game of football?

Bayern could well win tonight, absolutely. They're a sensational side. But Barca are better on their day.

It's a lot closer than the odds suggest IMO. The value is with Barca tonight, no doubt at all in my mind.

I think part of it is because people enjoy the idea of a team being 'the team' to really outplay Barca. Like a mythical quest. Mourinho's worked it out to some extent, but I think people generally want to see a team have a go at Barca and simply be better than them attacking-wise. This IMO explains some of the movement in the odds.

I don't know for sure but I'd dare say there's some classic German overconfidence in Bavaria today. It's perfectly feasible Bayern could win 3-1 or something, but for me it's almost as likely Barca will win 2-1 for example. The odds don't reflect the reality. At that price, you have to take Barca every day of the week.

13/8 DNB as well. Incredibly tempting.

For me, somehow, it's just a question of how much to put on a Bayern win today. :undecided:

Thought, probably nothing at all as my big game comes tomorrow. Already placed loads of on Real going through last week when the odds where a little better.

Going to be a cracking tie. Hope they both show up. :)
